What if we never had to look away from our screens? What if we could spend every waking hour locked into the digital world as far away from the physical as possible? Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, meet the Apple Vision pro.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve seen a lot of reviews from people excited about the Apple Vision Pro, and while it’s certainly an amazing piece of tech, I thought I’d share a different perspective, one of caution that paints of tale of what could be if this technology is not used well.

  1. Life is the problem I don't blame people for wanting to escape it's not all sunshine and flowers for everybody. If people in the future could live in a VR world that felt as real as this one and live in their fantasies the suicide rate would probably go down.

  2. Hey! I'm starting a YouTube channel. The content will be about online writing, solopreneurship, teaching stuff, and personal development. What should I use? Slides, Animations, or Free Stock Videos?

I only have a laptop; no phone, no camera, no mic, and no budget. I'm a student.

  3. The Vision Pro is a less intrusive technology than Neuralink, which involves implanting a device into the human brain. Recently, Neuralink announced its first human subject for this procedure. However, since the device is permanently attached to the brain, any complications arising from the procedure could potentially have serious consequences. This is where hi-jacking the brain becomes a genuine nightmare.

  4. No need to fear this is inevitable we either evovle or die off… change is a universal constant they'll be able to fit the vision pro into contact lenses one day. As far as subliminal brainwashing is concerned this is nothing new, most of the world believed in fairy-tale religions which caused way more chaos then peace. At this rate we're headed towards a more connected and cooperative future.

  5. Being bored is great. It leads to creativity, making new ideas, solutions to problems and motivating us to do things like hobbies. Why is it being normalised that being bored is a bad thing?

  6. Sadly, most people fokus on the bordom theme, while you said so important things to the privacy aspect. We need a system for all glasses that gets 3 things done.
    1. Secure, private, and opensauce use of data with full control for the user.
    2. Full compatibility between "virtual spaces" of all kinds for things like "holograms" (so no company gets a monopol)
    3. An alternative to "Wlan" (Network based ecosystem) so devices can speak to each other without a network that collectively harvests your data and collectively gives security issues on every device that is connected.
Like an encryped Bluetooth 6.cracked so devices speak directly to each other, fast and secure

  7. Strange… when Meta when it still was called just Facebook and the Meta Quest was an Oculus Quest, people complained a lot that you needed a Facebook account to use the headset and everything was supervised by Facebook, now Meta. How about the Vision Pro? What do you need to use one? An iPhone? An Apple acount? What is it different from Meta?

  8. The last time I was bored was when I was a disgruntled teenager many years before the internet. The idea of getting bored in today’s day and age, just boggles the mind.

I suppose if you’re constantly expecting a high level of stimulation, then even the entire history of the world and up to the moment, sum of all human knowledge in your pocket is still never going to be enough.

  9. You can't see the outside world. Digital, is not real. I can't believe! Someone can say that… You see a projection, not the real world. the iPhone was released in 2007… people weren't that crazy about social media and dumb trends.

  10. It is the mind which hates boredom. The sages from ancient times have said that mind is our enemy. And when a man becomes enlightened the mind gets dissolved into nothingness. The mind will try all the tactics to avoid it's death that's why we can't stand boredom. It's like coming face to face with your lunatic mind.

  11. These were my thoughts exactly when I heard of it. My brother was psyched and I simply told him I am never buying that shit. Overstimulation has ruined the better part of my creativity and that is just the recipe for a whole generation of people who don’t care to think outside of their bubble
