Brand was never supposed to be a support. He received buffs to try and push him back to mid lane. I personally think he's a shit support because he fucks up wave management for botlane which is important for ADC.

meta here meta there, regardless of the meta, if you've mastered the champion theres no such thing as "meta" , mobilty is one of the main issues of brand in the mid lane together with his' skill cast range, if you play him with his' E>Q>W then ur just playing brand the old way, his main damage comes from his' DoT burn effect still can burst squishies even tanks at the same time. with relentless pushing, the enemy jungler will prioritize the mid lane which means more chance of using brand's strength his' strong AoE damage paired with burn effect, hands off to this guy for staying with brand after all these years. brand is also the first mid mage champ i bought wayback season 3 so im kinda bias when it comes to using him mid
