Tupac Shakur: Man connected to 1996 death of US rap icon indicted on murder charge | FULL

Las Vegas police provided an update on Friday after they arrested a man in the deadly 1996 drive-by shooting of Tupac Shakur, a long-awaited break in a case that has frustrated investigators and fascinated the public ever since the hip-hop icon was gunned down on the Las Vegas Strip 27 years ago.

Las Vegas Sheriff Kevin McMahill said that a Nevada grand jury indicted Duane “Keefe D” Davis in the killing, while District Attorney Steven Wolfson also added that Davis has been indicted with one count of open murder with use of a deadly weapon and that he will appear in court in the coming days for a hearing to determine his custody status and to set a jury trial date.

“Tupac Shakur is a music legend and for a long time, this community worldwide has been wanting justice for Tupac. Today we are taking that first step. Tupac was quoted as saying, ‘Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside while still alive. Never surrender.’ Well, we didn’t surrender,” Wolfson said.

Davis has long been known to investigators and has himself admitted in interviews and in his 2019 tell-all memoir, Compton Street Legend, that he was in the Cadillac where the gunfire erupted during the September 1996 drive-by shooting. Shakur was 25 when he was gunned down.

  1. In my opinion they robbed the world. Tupac was still very young…imagine how he could have enriched the world as he matured in life…he was so young but had an old soul…just imagine had he lived longer . I cried for him and Biggie because it was such a senseless waste. I don’t generally feel loss when celebrities die….I’ve only cried 3 times..Tupac because his music and mind touched my heart and taught me….Biggie because his music was always fun and I listened to him when he first came out and I was living in Brooklyn and I remember the energy and vibes….and last but not least DMX 😢…DMX was so deep he touched my soul….he was such a tortured soul…I just wanted him to find peace in his life and I really wanted to hear more of his art because his music got me through times when I felt soo weak…I wanted him to be happy because he inspired me to be strong…I still listen to him daily and never get tired of his music. I miss them all, they deserved more.

  2. This makes me sad because they will never charge puffy ever, but i can't wait to see him on judgment day
Not only was he involved in tupac first shooting, and he helped the East vs. West started, but he also put out a million dollars hit on pac, which is a very strong motivation for the shooter and his crew to risk it all and pull the trigger on pac, this was example of the most snakeiest dirty person puffy vs the realist person tupac.. and like tupac said the good die young, what a shame
The story goes deeper. I can't explain all of it here, but now they just arrested one pawn, which is nothing.

  3. Wow I never knew what a POS Shakur was. Impressive rap sheet sir. You’d think with the money you made you could have moved on. Guess not. Shooting two cops normally seals mere mortal’s fates.

And to the police….guy writes a confession book and 6 years late you go “hey I got a suspect”

    Bravo😂
