Here is the BEST Shiny Hunting Method in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet! Easy Shiny Hunting Guide

Hello, Pokemon Trainers! Mass Outbreaks have made a return in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and like Pokemon Legends: Arceus before them, they appear to be the BEST method for Shiny Hunting in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet! This is referred to as the “Mass Outbreak Picnic Method” and you can get EASY shinies by doing the following:
1. Find a Mass Outbreak on your map. Mass Outbreaks change each day, so if you don’t like any of the Mass Outbreaks on your map, you can change your Switch clock forward one day and you will get new outbreaks.
2. Go to the Mass Outbreak.
3. Defeat or capture at least 60 Pokemon in the Outbreak. You can capture the Pokemon, defeat them in a standard battle, or defeat them in Auto Battles using the Let’s Go feature. Alternatively, you can defeat Pokemon in the Outbreak until you get the message that reads: “There are not many [Pokemon] left from the original outbreak.” Once you see this message and/or once you defeat 60 Pokemon in the Outbreak, your shiny odds will be at a maximum for the Pokemon in the Outbreak.
4. Open a picnic. Make sure you are not riding Koraidon/Myraidon and that you have enough space to open a picnic. Optional: You can make a sandwich in the picnic to further increase shiny odds, but you don’t have to.
5. Leave the Picnic.
6. Run around the area and see if any of the Mass Outbreak Pokemon are shiny. If not, repeat steps 4-6. If you see a shiny, congrats! Save your game and get ready to catch it 🙂
