Sa kaniyang talumpati sa Senado, iminungkahi ni Sen. Robin Padilla ang paggamit ng cable cars o ropeway system para matugunan ang problema sa trapiko sa Pilipinas, partikular sa Metro Manila. Sinabi ito ni Padilla kasunod ng panawagan ni Sen. JV Ejercito na palakasin ang railway system ng bansa.

Good day! It's so amusing to hear that someone proposes the use of cable cars so to improve the flow of heavy traffic here. I think it's out of place though. An aerial tram or lift uses stationary and propulsion ropes. Perhaps, we just need to improve MRT systems. Cable cars are also incongruous in traversing long distance routes. God bless!

Sen. Robinhood Padilla FYI yung Cable Car hindi pwede sa buong Pilipinas. Mag aral ka muna mag Research pagka malakas ang hangin may bagyo hindi pwede mag operate ang cable car.
