I didn’t see anything unexplainable in the 18 years I flew in the Air Force, but I have since listened to many credible people with compelling stories.

My journey takes me to Hessdalen, Norway, known for its unusual lights in the sky. I meet with local investigators who have been studying the phenomena for decades. They reveal that in 1947, multiple witnesses reported seeing a “ghost rocket” crash into a nearby lake. Sonar scans have detected a large strange object, but searches have become empty.

I film the team heading onto the lake with advanced equipment, determined to hunt for forensic evidence. The area is remote and surrounded by mountains. Conditions are challenging. Sensors pick up a 20-meter object, but as we try to get visual confirmation, it seems to disappear.

  1. Runa rules, what a great guy to have in your corner.
Wait, though, am I to understand this big oblong object resting on the lakebed has disappeared? Disappointing but not surprising—And if you can confirm you really were looking at the same spot, or find it chilling out somewhere else nearby like Runa sort of suggested, I'd say that still counts as a very interesting discovery even if, in the end, it was always a virtual certainty you wouldn't be permitted to get your hands on anything besides the frustratingly (calculatedly?) "inconclusive." Gotta maintain that ambiguity and plausible deniability, after all, or you'll bias human reactions & belief formation and not get good data (so goes my hunch, anyway). Would not be surprised if it turned out that thing was sitting down there all that time at least partly just to measure how long it took humans to investigate those stories.

  2. Chris, I know that you spent the money to go to Norway. But did we have to spend an hour for results of nothing at all? Why didn’t they dive in dry suits in July/August as it’s only 20 meters down?

  3. I have kept an open mind on this topic, that is whether there is an active disinformation campaign that started in 2016 or there is good evidence that can be uncovered . After years of reading and watching, this stuff is falling into what I call the “blurry UFO” category, the curse of oak island and skin walker category, which is to say ultimately nothing at all tangible but a huge amount that is debatable. I don’t say Chris is in anyway misrepresenting things- great guy and often interesting perspectives, but I feel he’s sometimes carried away by his own enthusiasm. It seems to me this is a great example of the problems with all these claims- when you dig, there’s just no hard evidence. To be 100 percent clear, I have no doubt about ET life and craft, my doubt is about the vast , vast majority of humans claiming to have insight onto them, whether their stories are genuinely believed or made to deceive. In short, I think after 7 years we’re at a point where only verified HD footage is useful to the conversation. Everything else has been covered as nauseam for no benefit at all.
