Tower of Terror REVIEW

Which of Disney’s thematic drop tower rides is the best?
And who the heck came up with the idea of adding an elaborate story to a drop tower ride?
And how does Rocket the Raccoon get off the top of the elevator as it falls?

  1. Another reason I wouldn’t give DisneySea’s version the #1 spot is that unlike the others it has an over the shoulder seatbelt like a car. That takes away some of the air time the others have and makes the drop sequence slightly less thrilling.

  2. The whole group of people and bellhop are present in Paris though it depends on the random scene you get onboard… The same girl is also present in the other versions of the ride and the storyline is exactly the same as Florida

  3. Seeing the 13 minute wait on the DCA Tower of Terror clip made me so sad, you never get to see it that low anymore 🙁

Also this video made me want to ride the Florida one again so bad! I was a little baby who hated every drop tower last time we rode it, but the GotG ride really helped me warm up to them and I think I'd enjoy it more now.

  4. Good point about the guardians ride’s story making you an active participant. Very few rides make you actively participate. Even Rise doesn’t actively make you participate

  5. Great video! I love Tower of Terror and Guardian, the ride system is incredibly unique and no other experience compares. I gotta give it to Tower of Terror though, especially the new changes they added to the Paris version. However the story of Tokyo's is by far the best!

  6. Great video!! I think the only thing I’d change on the list is having the California versions of the ride tied. They’re both amazing rides, but so different, it’s hard to pick which one I prefer!

  7. My ranking:
    1. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (DCA; as well as Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission BREAKOUT!)
    2. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (DHS)
    3. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (WDSP; as well as A New Dimension of Chills)
    4. Tower of Terror (TDS)

  8. Another great video Bram! Wish they were more frequent but we will take what we can get!;). I thought that I wouldn’t agree with your order but I can’t fault your arguments. Strange that Tokyo with it’s bottomless bank account wouldn’t have got the moving elevator like WDW since they seem to cherry pick all of the best stuff from the U.S. parks. Even without it though, their tower and theming still look so amazing and I must go there someday. I would almost put the Guardians version in a tie for first strictly for the fact that it pulled off the impossible feat of retheming a classic e-ticket attraction so well that even most of the previous haters admit that it is better than before (including myself:).

Again…great job and I can’t wait to hear your D23 report!!

  9. First of YAY YOU ARE BACK! Welcome back to the world of video! Second I never rode any of the TOT'S but from what I have seen here in your video I would seem to agree with your list. However I was with you there when they changed TOT at CaliAdventure to Mission Breakout in being upset because to me it didnt make sense. Until they announced the new Avengers campus then it all fit together nicely. BUT….In my opinion I still dont think Mission Breakout fits this ride system though. It just seems forced. I would rather of them have kept TOT as part of Hollywood backlot instead of being MB as apart of the Avengers Campus.

  10. By the way, if you didn’t know that : The Walt Disney Studios one has 3 different stories so you’ll never know what you’ll get-
When you said "who’s this little girl" at around 4:51, if you didn’t know in the pre-show of the Florida Version there is this little girl. So they used her, plus it’s much more thrilling!
And the three versions’ name are :
    1. La Cinquième Dimension = Its the original one used in the California Adventure and at Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World-

    2. La petite fille = The Little Girl ; it’s the little girl and it’s much more longer and thrilling!

    3. La cage à monstre = The cage of monsters ; and the special abilities with this ride is that if we scream louder and louder the monsters will roar.

So my ratings for all the Tower of Terrors are :
    5. Hollywood Tower Hotel, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror California Adventure.

    4. Tower of Terror : Mission Breakout Guardians of the Galaxy California Adventure.

    3. The Hollywood Tower Hotel, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Walt Disney Studios.

    2. Tokyo Disney Sea’s, Hotel Hightower Tower of Terror.

    1. The Hollywood Tower, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Hollywood Studios – Walt Disney World.

Anyway here’s my opinion I hope you’re doing fine now! I hope we’ll have other videos like that and continue like that!
    See ya later and….

    Peace!

    (I modified 3 to 2 and 2 to 3)

  11. Great video, Bram! I've only ever had the pleasure of riding the California tower pre-Guardians update, so I don't have much to weigh in on, but I loved hearing your takes! I hope you and Aurora have so so so much fun at D23!!

  12. Cool video! I’d love to see more of these ranking videos, especially for the Haunted Mansion. I love both U.S. versions, but I also really like the Phantom Manor in Paris.

As far as the Tower Terror goes, I still haven’t been on it yet and I’m hoping to go on someday. If you haven’t seen it yet, I recommend watching the Tower of Terror movie. It’s an old Disney Channel movie that was filmed at the actual Tower of Terror at Disney World. It’s a fun movie!

  13. I totally agree the the original is the best. I was working as an entertainer at EPCOT when the Tower of Terror opened. I've ridden it dozens of times over the years. Love your videos. I saw the Indy one first yesterday. Keep up the great work!
