The real Sins of a Solar Empire 2 was the Vasari Labour Camps

Thanks to Stardock Entertainment for sponsoring today’s video, you can find Sins of a Solar Empire 2 on Steam here: http://steam.gs/l/157jf/Rimmy

It’s so relieving to actually have an RTS sequel that isn’t just as good as the last game, but is outright better. The quality of life features are overflowing, from auto building into the fleet, to easy research, to simple selling of materials when you need to buy something.

  1. It's so nice to play a game that has quality of life features I didn't even think I wanted instead of begging them to add them. We had loads of fun playing this, and kept playing once the recording was done. 2. I think all of Sins basically takes place in Trader space. With all the planets having a native human population, as when planets revolt they become uncolonised, presumably because they killed off all the colonisers rather then themselves.

So the the Vassari are just enslaving all the Humans to boost them before the fuck back off into space, and the Advent are going full crusader to convert, or exterminate, the heathens who gave them psychic remembered PTSD.

The TEC Rebels will happily ally with pirate scum, because any human who fights the alien invaders is an ally, any who doesn't also deserves to die.

  3. the rotating jump routes means you can't just fortify choke points and have factory planets because your choke point will disappear and your factory planets will join the front line

  5. "Commander on deck!" Is one of my favorite voicelines.
I loved Sins 1 so seeing Sins 2 is an upgraded version is great. Always loved that it was a simpler 4X game, so it didn't take much to get into it. Can't wait to play this game when it comes out.

  6. i find that with SOASE, of the factions were so fun to play,

With the music being fantastic, the voice lines, each factions art style, etc. i really fell in love with this game. cant wait t see what the Advent brings to the table, not to mention seeing the new ship as well!

  7. I really want to see what happens if you disable the fleet cap for both sides (and removing cap for special ships), that would be interesting to see what happens between you all and the AI.

  8. I really wish Rimmy would have tried Sword of the Stars. It's a space game with 3d Global Map (which makes it a bit hard to navigate), different FTL methods for different races and different tech trees for each race (and maybe each game) as well. And also, you can just use your ship's weapons to fire on the planet to kill population, infrastructure and make it uninhabitable

  9. Hey Rimmy, love the content as always, but the game is using AI art for their UI stuff, the art for the Xenophobe thing looked sketchy as hell and saw the AI tag on their steam page

wont be supporting this or the game itself either way, sorry mate

  10. Why is no one picking up that almost yhe entirety of the video a script? Most basic things are mind blowing? Every little thing is amazing? Him and his friends randomly explaining the game mechanics and how they work like rhey are reading from a direction book of the game.

  12. Ive played sins ever since my dad bought the original when i was a kid. It took me more than a decade and rimmy mentioning it for me to realise one of my favorite titans looks like a Thargoid lmao.

  13. God damn Australians, saying "It releases in summer" while we Americans are already going through summer. We live in the future Rimmy, just a heads up "It hasn't released here yet". (love the vid, just don't get my hopes up like that lol)

  14. I loved the original Sins, but I am not a fan of the art direction they've decided on for the sequel. It's just so… cartoonish, now.
I'm sure there are all sorts of improvements, but that art style is just so off putting.
