  1. The Flood would get stomped in the 40K universe. They're constantly dealing with the Tyranids who adapt and evolve way better than Flood. Also The Warp would completely fuck The Flood, especially if it infected the hive mind.

  2. Honestly flood could easily dominate 40k galaxy. Especially if flood infect a hive world, like in halo gravemind can be formed even seems few million-10s of millions people, fucken hive worlds in 40k can be 10s to hundreds of billions so if one world falls a key mind could easily be made maybe even twice over on one planet. But besides that the fact is how much planets just disappear in 40k, literal hive worlds have disappeared. Even a story of 100% of a population completely vanished and took long time to even notice so flood in that way would make them spawn ridiculously strong. Sheer numbers of a whole hive world with use of guns, ship’s technology then technological advancement the keymind itself can do and with one planet it just makes army stronger then majority of the imperiums forces and having fair amount of knowledge, granted being a hive world it won’t be the greatest but with hire ups maybe an inquisitor or something there is plenty of room for a flood to get so strong. With that the flood have something I think makes it far more scary force than Tyranids in small yet important way is the flood supercell, it’s literally a cell, a single cell and person can become infected, whole worlds getting infected could be easily changed with fleet just dumping spore and turn the atmosphere into super near impossible survival situation for most.

Another point I’m a say is that people really overhype 40ks technology, for as advanced as many of it is the whole point that it’s still a shadow of what 30k is, while primaris and space marines have gotten stronger the technology still so far behind it’s not that crazy. Heck logic would still come through and doesn’t matter how strong a weapon or armor is there is a breaking point in simple ways like a space marine is insanely strong but we got weapons and vehicles and shit nowadays that can easily kill them, it’s the mobility that helps space marines most and that changes quickly when things like orks, or nids swarm them, now get that with nids but throw in that style of combat intelligence nids have with technology and knowledge that would grow to be more advanced than current ignorant and clueless 40k humanity and flood can easily stomp humanity.

With just how insanely ridiculous the flood intelligence can get with just one or two worlds the only thing that would stop the flood realistically is all 4 chaos gods send as much their armies out as they can or you majorly kill off the flood when they are in the start of their infection.
