If you are new to Project Zomboid, you have to try these great quality of life mods!

The More Descriptions for Traits mod will clear up any confusion you may have over what certain traits do, by clearly listing all buffs and debuffs when hovering over them, allowing you to make better decisions over your character build.
The Weapon Condition Indicator mod alerts you when your weapon becomes damaged, and shows the condition of your items on your hotbar and hands.
The Minimal Display Bars mod shows you at a glance the current status of your character, including how hungry, tired, thirsty, healthy, and happy they are. It’s incredibly customizable and can help you learn what certain moodles mean.
Lastly, the Has Been Read mod makes looting books easy, marking the ones you have read, and the ones you haven’t.

Also a fun mod I recommend just to spice it up is the superb survivors mod which adds npcs you can interact with, join or have them join you but just beware some of em might not be so friendly

Ive never played this game. Ive never searched for this game. How do these vids end up getting recommended. The algorithm is fcked man. If only they weren’t so entertaining though.
Wow these should all be vanilla
It not just a game. First i play this game with zero knowladge and use my common sence only i do survival 7 day and than see the sea at least and i got bite
There are a few mods that really help. I do not like the bar mod. Its intrusive. Instead, get the simple moodles mod that shows the level of moodle you have, which makes it much easier to decipher the severity of moodle, without requiring you to add a bunch of bars to your UI that doesn't match anything else the UI is doing. The other mods are good. Id also consider the tarkov UI, as it helps you make much better sense of what you have equipped and helps you make sense of the layers you have on at a glance. It attaches itaelf to your inventory, off to the left, and fits the UI very well. Lastly, the health UI, similar to tarkov, that you can move around on your screen. Shove it into the corner, it is invisible unless you are damaged, and you can right click it to apply bandages, etc. It removes the need to open your health panel entirely. Just a simple outline of your character that looks great and fits the original UI.
Anyone ever told you look like a skinny Scarce?
On point
why does this get recommended to me 🙁 it thinks im trash i have all these mods + 300 hours pls stop yt shorts!!!
Neat
Imagine not running 300 mods.
Me waiting for a mod that gives you the ability to cure the zomboid infection:
Might have to add the minimal displays mod to my co op server with my uncle. He has trouble keeping track of his water bottles and with MD he’d be able to see his thirst actually going down when his bottles are empty xD
How do you do this on a steam deck?
I would recommend adding "I can shoot and use generators" mod, adds you some shooting skill and gives you magazine for generators bcs I guess we don't need to be a military personel to not miss someone who's right in front of us, like what happened to me. Also we don't need some advanced knowledge on how to use generators…
Thank you for this, ive been planning to buy project zomboid because all of my friends play the game with mods
