Elden Ring. Elden Ring. Elden Ring.
All I think about is Elden Ring. I haven't played a game this engaging in years. This is coming from someone who didn't care for FromSoftware's games just two week ago. There wasn't a ton of easter eggs in there, but I just really wanted to put a video together. I hope you like it! <3
the ending was beautiful. love it man
The description of the great sword is exactly how they describe guts sword in the manga
There is also a sword refering to blasphemous
Great work as always, Guru.
Sad. No mimics in the game
only like 0.5% of viewers are gonna get this joke but it’s amazing 0:12
Also a starting class looks really similar to Griffith helm when he was tortured.
The Berserk part made me sweat through the eyes
I literally just came from that dungeon with the dark souls chest and I was wondering about that. It got me scared that there would be another chest with a mimic further inside. Idk if it is really an easter egg or the developers just forgot to change the chest model here because I remember also seeing it in the gameplay preview from last year.
The Equip Load raising talismans are also references to the Iron Throne. There's also an umbilical cord talisman that may be a Bloodborne reference. The Mountaintops of the Giants may be a reference to the unused level from Demon's Souls.
The sword memorials may also be based on the Swords in Rock memorial in Norway commemorating the Battle of Hafrsfjord where Harald Fairhair unified Norway under one kingdom fyi. Considering Elden Ring is said to take inspiration from norse mythology as well.
D also has the reference armor of the Carim knight in Ds1
Thank you for that piano cover link
Well I be super darned
i got jumpscared by the bladee at the start ngl
The second i blindly opened the dark souls chest i tought mimic was about to came out lol
That chest have chain, is that mimic?
There is also a reference to Evangelion, a sword called the "God Slayer" or something like that and looks like the Longinus Spear
0:12 bladee 😂 love u guru
Selvius also sounds like Victor Saltspyre from Vermantide…
Fake berserker fan, 5:48 that is not the sword it is referencing. It is reference to the sword he broke before receiving this one you are showing.
They basically copied Snape's dialogue from when he first met harry in the first part in his class. That's so awesome
imagine the only chest that looks like a dark souls 1 chest ended up being a mimic
How about the windmill town? Its felt like a direct reference from Midsommar
guru a drainer?
pray for kentaro miura
Idk why but the spiral tree segment gave me some chills in my spine.
best easter is guts sword
What I find a little interesting about the sword monument is that it's a double reference one from berserk but also as a reference of 3 huge stone swords which memoriates a big viking age battle in Norway. Look it up and you can see the resemblance
Where’s the music from at 0:12?
There's also radahn's armor which looks a lot like gaiseric's
