Is the slug bait organic
The Snail and slug bait I use is OMRI approved, meaning it's safe for organic gardens. I usually only put it down once and they're gone.
Would garlic/onion infused water sprayed on and around work just as good?
I have SOOOOO MANY pill bugs
I've been using it for a couple of years around my brassicas and mixed in the soil when I plant my potatoes to keep the wire worms away.
I may need to try that up here in soggy Western Washington 👊🏻🌻👊🏻
No need for this nonsense. If you poison and kill these creatures you will be impacting the food chain and wider ecology. Of course all that matters is your greens…. Totally outdated approach!

100% this helps control pill bugs. Pills bugs ate the roots of many of my brassicas last year. They also nearly chewed through the stem on one of my young tomatillos plants. This was the only thing that helped keep them at manageable level. This will also help manage earwigs.

Sluggo Plus is OMRI
Pill bugs just started gpong to town on the stems of 2 kale plants. Do I use the same bug killer meant for slugs and snails? I put down a circle of diatomaceous earth all around the plants. I have woody compost topping, so thats not helping either.

Yup that slug bait works amazingly. No carcinogenic chemicals needed.
I don't understand why people kill slugs. They are doing what they surpose to do. After rain they do their job. They will eat the bottom leaves. Bottom leaves are old leave that will touch the ground and get infected with mildew. There poop is compost. Then they die and become compost as well. The same thing with snails. But when they die their shell ads calsium to the soil. And if they eat bottom leaves your plants will use the nitrogen from the rain to produce healthy new leaves. So just break of the damage leaves an drop them for compost. Let nature do what it surpose to do.
PILL BUGS are beneficial to the soil removing heavy metals and toxins and also eat the eggs of many garden pests including the stink bug…
Is it bird safe?
I had a terrible time with white moths, pill bugs and aphids last year. It was a nightmare. My wood raised beds took a beating from the pill bugs especially. Thanks for the tip. I usually spray the foliage of my brassica to kill the white moth larvae and it works great. It doesn't help with pill bugs and slugs though.
Do you know if sluggo is ok for cats? I know my cats will think its some type of treat for them.
I can’t believe I watched this yesterday and after going out to my garden this morning, saw a ton of pill bugs eating my brand new cucumber plant. I had sluggo and sprinkled like you said and they were already slowing down, if you know what I mean. Thank you for so much great information!!!!

Does it work for those black fuzzy catapilliars we get in Texas? They take out just about everything, leaves and especially rose buds. Thanks for all your help. I've got a spray bottle of hydrogen peroxide solution ready to prevent the fungus that takes out my green beans every year. Last year you recommended that or sulfur. I hope you create your own gardening brand someday! You help so many people.
I heard this method is falling out of favor due to the collateral damage to earthworms. I view this as the nuclear option now, although it is surely the easiest option. Other options being using straw/pine needle mulch, crushed eggshells and coffee grounds on surface, the terracotta pot traps youve shown, beer traps, making a bird-friendly yard, etc

I have pill bugs all over the yard, so I’m glad to learn this. My question is if I use it in my raised beds will it hurt any earthworms that might be there?
