Can You Beat Fallout: New Vegas Without Vendors?

One of the most frequent gameplay loops in the Fallout franchise is looting items and selling them to the various shops littered around the map. But what if you couldn’t shop?

Going into the new year has made me reflect on my spending habits and although they haven’t been terrible, they could certainly be better. That got me thinking: what would it be like to not buy anything at all?

  1. Commentary on this one was good! I'm personally not that jazzed about mods like Real Time VATS/Slow Time, but Increased Spawns seems fine so long as you feel it doesn't break encounters. I find the VATS changes always are just a little too much for me, even if they make the game more dynamic or difficult. It completely warps one of the game's build types and could potentially remove strats you would be able to use on an unmodded save. I don't have any issue with the mods you're using otherwise like the HUD mods and FO4 looting, it's just VATS changes feel too dramatic for me.

  2. For future reference, I learned this while watching a Mitten Squad (RIP).
If you do the Sunny Smiles tutorial, before shooting the bottles, drop all of your 5.56 ammo.
Talk to her and she will give you some more.
This only works once and she will be sarcastic if you ask a second time.
Also go hunting with her and get more, you can leave Goodsprings with a decent start for 5.56 ammo.
    Great Video, very much enjoyed.
    Sorry for the paragraph.
