So happy to see you both back in a vlog! The shadow boxes definitely gave me all the feels too because knowing the department Shawn was in and what he did each day means alot to me as both a person and a parent. Knowing there are still good people out there who care about the well-being of children who dont belong to them really gives me all the feels. I also get the driving slow thing too. My Husband is the speed demon in our house, and picks at me because i rarely speed. As a commercial dl holder getting caught speeding can mean loss of your license and even jail time depending on the state and how fast you were going and if my babies are in the car with me im definitely not taking more risks then needed. I tease my Husband that the speed limits to him are just suggestions 🤣

Thanks to Shawn for his service. My husband was hurt in the line of duty recently, he's recovering thankfully, but his partner was not as lucky and he didn't make it. I think I want to take some of his things that my husband is keeping that belonged to his partner and have them put in a shadow box for him.
Oh, man! That heated neck and shoulder thingy looks divine. On a slightly different note…y'all should check out the Ororo heated vests…you know winter is right around the corner…pure heaven!!! Lightweight enough to layer under another coat or wear around the house to ward off the winter chills. The rechargable battery lasts a long time! Highly, highly recommend 🙂
It's not safe to watch "What's Lisa Smelling" at 2:00 in the morning after 3 glasses of wine. It's taking everything in my power to not wake up the hubs with the best of my silent laughing. You're killing me, Lisa!

Love Shawn's shadow boxes, nicely done, I especially like the one with your uniform shirt, and all the "trimmings". I see your badge # was 220, my ID # was 3901. I was thinking the same thing as you said he said about "15 years of law enforcement in shadow boxes". I was dusting the other day, and I have my "Employee of the Month" paperweight, a "farewell plaque given to me, and a watch with the logo of the now-defunct Police Department I worked (as a civilian) for 30 years on a table, and I always think along the same lines – all those years, "reduce" to a few things. That place truly was my life for all those years, and I put my blood, sweat, and tears into it, for sure. I'd do it all again because that's who I am, but I can't believe that when I walked out the door, it's as if I never existed. Humbling, to say the least. On the same "memory table" (with my Angel Wings warmer) is a big picture/poem in commemoration of 9-11, as I worked in Emergency Management in Northern NJ that day, and had a lot of dealings with it then, and for a long time afterwards, and we just commemorated 21 years. Doesn't seem possible, and still is very personal, heavy, and emotional, for me.
Glad Shawn and Mario had a nice time fishing together. I hear ya about the days flying by, Lisa, for sure! The grass looks nice, and it's fun to "be there" with you, to watch the progress. Your steaks and potatoes looked SOOOOO good!!! I LOVE grilled food (especially steak!) and haven't had it in YEARS, so I'm DROOLING, looking longingly at yours! 🙂 And the paninis looked delicious too!!
I love WInterberry Apple Tea too, and warm it all year 'round, since I'm not a seasonal, but a mood, melter. The 'Stang looks great, Shawn – drive it in good health and happiness! I have 8 fall warmers out already and our apartment is about half the size of your garage..LOL!! Old age and "downsizing" 🙁 I also have ordered 2 new fairy tale pumpkin warmers 🙂 Can't wait to get them!!! Great Vlog as always…Food looked fantastic, again, as always! Shawn's Office looks amazing…something to be so proud of that he worked all those years doing that sort of work, just to think of how many children's lives he changed & probably saved.GREAT JOB, KUDOS TO YOU SIR!!!
