I love this series
this one's dungeon along with the water one was the WORST thing about this game unfortunately where even if you know the solution, it just goes on too long.
the gatekeepers are all optional, the intended route is to be sneaky and go around them using other pathways, which i find to be a unique way to handle this circle, of course you can brute force your way but its not recommended less you already so powerful which to some, is very unlikely. Sadly, even if you defeat the gatekeepers, if you leave and come back, the gates will close and you have to fight them again. In some way this is fine though, as I know one has a very good defense accessory if you're willing to fight till you get it.
So when you were doing this did you forget that you get Zoom points

One of the skills you can get to help with mp consumption is auto-cadabra which you can get from talents like aquapothecary or antimagic avoider.
Well, this turned out to be another Ed goes around in circles episode, because he didn't check the map until after he went the wrong way… but at least on checking the map he worked out exactly what he'd done wrong, otherwise this episode could easily have been twice as long.
