Boys, you forgot to mention the Warriors are getting James Fisher-Harris next year
Gotta add captain JAKE ❤ to kangaroo
Regarding the Warriors. The stability, or lack there of, in the halves has cost them all year. As much as Johnson had been disappointing, he ices those last two games and probably a few more of those close ones. Just a year to forget with all the injuries.
Katoa slightly holding off an exhausted chriton playing straight state after origin. Calm down boys
Eli katoa is that guy if he could play origin he’d be the best in the comp
Wouldn’t mind seeing a play on x levels collab sometime in the future 👀
I think most Queenslanders would agree with Joey Clark's (?) comments. I copped a flogging from my Cockroach mates but just went for the best therapy and watched what as far as I'm concerned is Qld's best series ever- the 1995 whitewash by Fatty's Neville Nobodies. Works every time! Flowers? I think it was Ian Chappell who once said that if he was being sledged he knew he was on top. How did we get to the stage when dog, sick and dope means something good? Effing Septics I suppose. Broncos need a good kick in the arse from Kevvie about the bullshit that they think they need to score off every play. Final comment is about Golden Point which is an absolute crock. I realise it's probably not going to go away but how about a change? A team that has drawn the game at full-time should get some sort of reward in excess of a team that gets flogged 50 nil, i.e. no points. So what do you think about 1 point for a draw at the end of regular time? BTW WM we never hated you north of the border because you always busted your guts. We just didn't love you like our favourite player Gallen who we loved because he always did SFA apart from being a cry baby. And the NSW player I never wanted to see picked was the great one and only Jimmy Maloney! Getting used to your dog dope sick fire bullshit guys!
Great watch, still think roosters got a chance but storm must be main danger to panthers
Horo must be cheering to talk smack about the chooks this week considering he’s probably still salty on the 2013 GF
That’s a mad name for it.. “levels to this” podcast
This is my favourite Rugby League programme. You guys tell it straight up, no BS, but you break down the technicalities of the game just as well if not better than anyone else.
Dog of the week everyone sleeping on Robson, his efforts have gone unnoticed
As a rugby league nomad I can appreciate the skill of a player much more than their behaviour off the field. And then there’s Luai, a mouth with the skill to back it up. Easily one of my top 5 favourite players to watch
Tiges will make the eight next year with luaui
Thx Boys !!
Love hearing the Reece Robson appreciation. For the Cowboys, he is probably our most consistent player. Tough as nails and just doesn't make mistakes. Also great to see Tommy getting his flowers as of late.
As for the Cam Smith chat, I'd love your boys thoughts on this. We consider Joey and JT the goats because they were the best players to watch. We don't watch footy to see Cam Smith play 90 rep games, we watch footy for the great Half Backs who look like they're floating around the field. Whether that's unfair or fair, I'd think most people would see it that way
Hey lads.
You guys talked about it in origin 2 with latrell and his presence and again this ep with Reynolds.
Who’s your presence players for each team? That they can rock up after a few weeks off and the team falls back into line or the opposition just can’t compete.
Unstructured… This is THE most structured footy podcast there is 😂
Edit: Mt Druitt area has not been changed at all by the Panthers. It's more gang gang ridiculous post code BS than ever before.
UP LEVELS, UP MASE, & UP DA HOZ! Thanks for the mad shout out lads. Nice to see the poddy doing very well on all platforms. Also, Ive really enjoyed listening to Mitchell Pearce. There's nothing like being educated on our wonderful game by a phenomenal play maker like Mitch.
What's the reason for the difference in player trading culture?
Here in the states, typically, if a team is fixing to lose a player because their contract is up and don't intend to resign them, they trade the player for assets so they can get some return on the value of the player, and not just let them walk away for nothing. It does not work that way all the time, but it's not uncommon either in my opinion.
Do all of the player contracts in the NRL have no trade clauses in them for every player? I have heard you guys talk about some wild clauses in contracts that some of the players have. It always sounds a bit crazy to me how much power the players have over the teams. Some of the recent talks about the Tigers players contracts come to mind.
It did get me asking to myself why the teams just don't trade the players away for some sort of value. But I don't know the history of the league like that, or the business side of it and how the NRL operates. I figure there is a reason, I just don't know it.
#freeluki
Thanks for your lovely words about Penrith.
That Aussie team wouldn’t win …too many good players in wrong positions
I was so convinced Storm was gonna lose I was already depressed before I got to the game …this team surprises me every week it’s scary
Yall mustve seen another version of the NSW song online cause it was 🔥🤣
We need the triple O.G. back on NRL 360 giving it to Buzz😂😂
Alright boys, what’s your thoughts on David Armstrong signing for Leigh Leopards? He looked good in the few games he’s played this year and didn’t look out of place in the NRL, granted he’s behind Ponga at the knights and the NRL is stacked for fullbacks
Another great show cheers boys!!
Hey lads, love the show. Question for you both now that the origin is over. Who do you think the best player that never was? I.E someone whose career was cut short for whatever reason, like Yow Yhe. My pick is Sonny Fai. A young gun cut short. Thanks for the hours of entertainment goat and Willie.
Question boys considering where the dogs are at now would slipping out of the 8 be a big disappointment. Still would be a massive year considering most people expectations at the start of the year
Hey boys love the show. Scope what do you think about Brad Thorn as the new assistant coach for the Broncos??
Hey boys. Just wondering if you have any thoughts on the state of the play the ball – specifically why players are even bothering to use their foot anymore? There seems to be no upside to using your foot – as I don't think a single penalty has been blown this year for not using your foot in the play the ball. Comparatively there are multiple downside risks to using your foot. The play the ball speed is slower and throws the rest of the play out of rhythm. The different timing for the dummy half increases the risk of the knock on. The risk of hitting the ball incorrectly with your foot (DWZ with 2 minutes to go in the Raiders game). There is even a higher risk of the ball not getting planted right and getting stuck in the hands with that sticky spray for players looking to plant the ball to use their foot (Gutho, Turbo & Connor Watson examples from last week) vs everyone else looking to put that touch footy backwards rolling motion on the ball and stepping over it. At this point should coaches be telling all their players to go with the big NAS play the ball motion every single time?
Not many teams do beat Melbourne in Melbourne I guess that’s why they are on top same with the panthers, I don’t get the worry with the roosters. Noone can beat panthers or storm but for some reason roosters are not a threat, throw any stats away when finals hit chookies going all the way
Forgot to mention the bellamy smile 😂
The LEVELS of disrespect being shown by continually saying either the Roosters or Broncos are the second best team in the comp behind the Panthers week after week, boggles the mind!
Boys! The Storm have beaten all of those teams this year and are two games clear of the competition!! And we haven’t even got Munster and Coates back yet!! By the time finals roll around Nelson will be peaking and Howarth will be steam rolling everything in his path. It’ll be a Storm V Panthers GF every day of the week and I got Jahrome Hughes at $21 for Clive. Love the show and the both of you 😘
What interesting is you talk about the Raiders playing well, but the Wahs scored more 4 pointers, so the team on team, Warriors won. It was just the kicking. The other thing is that I don't think there have been many teams this year that have played a game at the level of the game they played against the Dogs.
Spencer Leniu new nickname "BACK FENCE SPENCE" —Ryan Girdler
Hey Willie, question for you. You obviously played for the Barbarians in rugby union. Do you think a concept like that could ever work in rugby league? Similar to the PMs XIII, could a Barbarians team be formed from the teams that don't make the finals and they go on tour to play England, France etc. Or alternatively a PMs XIII, Barbarians and PNG trination tournament in PNG. What do you think?
Dragons in 9th flying under everyone’s radar if somehow they can get a w against Penrith or Melbourne. They have a pretty soft run of games after them 2 mostly at home. Only 1 away. Smokey for the 8. Keep up the good work boys.
My second favourite thing about this podcast is that you inspire me to go back and watch matches that I missed, after hearing you talk about them. I went back and watched the Brisbane v Knights game after hearing you talk about Walsh's left to right pass. You were right, it was needless but man it was great to watch. 😊😊😊
Hey boys, as a roosters fan we are missing a strong long kicking game. Usually we are rolling through teams in the middle so we are always kicking on the front foot or in the oppositions half. When we verse Storm and Panthers and they match us in the middle we cannot get out our end with our poor long kicking game.
I loved the NSW song and I don’t like most club songs 😂 been stuck in my head ever since game 3
Hey lads love the poddy. I’m a roosters fan and it’s mentally frustrating for me whenever the roosters play the storm, so it must be more mentally exhausting going into a storm game for the players. Do you lads have a team throughout your careers that have “won” a mental battle over you before the game even kicked off? If so would love to hear how you got over it 👍
Didn’t I. Katoa play for Tonga in the World Cup?
Love your work lads. I’ve got a question/talking point for ya’s.
How is it that there are no international games this year for NZ or Aussie? I can’t think of another sport where a national team won’t be selected or play in a calendar year. As a Kiwis fan I get a bit of excitement over origin but always look forward to seeing how the Kiwis line up against the Kangaroos. What needs to change to get a better output in international footy?
Hey lads, L1 from Day 1 and first time commenter. Have you heard the chat on Tom Flegler? Shoulder injury which has ruled him out for the season has the potential to end his career. Have you boys ever been through something similar? If you had the chance to chat to Tommy now, what would you tell him?
Keep up the good work lads
Question for Big Willie in regards to Stefano possible leaving for a team like the Storm. How are bottom teams like the Tigers supposed to improve and get better when their star players leave for top contending teams? Is there a way for them to retain their players when it's so easy for players nowadays to just up and leave for better situations?
Not a Tigers fan but I feel for them with the amount of quality talent that’s come through their club and gone on to exceed elsewhere
You guys have something special. Have a look at Jaxxon podcast (Rampage Jackson). Similar humour to Willie. He gets guests on which make his show awesome. Maybe give that a go…
The last time Easts beat Melbourne was a GF and it was comprehensive. Happy to take an L in July for the lesson learned for September. We’ll be right Chooks fans. Keep the faith. Thanks for the show Mad Snakes, best RL content on the internet.
