  1. Here in the tip of Texas, it's 100 degrees according to my wall thermometer. The wind is blowing north, this is probably going to add a huge amount of energy to the storms in that direction. stay safe out there. Note: accuweather is insisting it's just 86 degrees.

  2. Nothing comes to the Mid-Atlantic states but rain. So For that February 23 forecast. It will be rain. We haven't had any snow this winter. The ground isn't even frozen. Been running my pump in my basement most of the winter.

  3. The term "seaboard" is never used on the West Coast. It is known as either the "Coast" or the "West Coast," but never as the "seaboard." Only part of the East Coast along the Atlantic is known as the Seaboard.

  4. I've given up on winter here in western North Carolina. It's been springtime except for the arctic Temps we had at Christmas for 2 or 3 days. No snow at all except up in the high elevation mountain tops.

  5. I remember some older people who came up during the Depression talking about 1932, which was supposed to be "the year without a winter." Farmers became so confident that they planted large gardens in February. However, a heavy frost came in April that killed everything they planted.

  6. I live in MA. We haven't had much of a winter so far this year. Everyone is waiting for the shoe to drop, and we get buried. I've seen sizable storms into the middle of April, but the good news is that the sun angle is too high for the snow to last.

  7. Thanks for all your efforts putting together really useful forecast maps. I have used your expertise to safely plan a driving trip this January with nary a drop of snow on the roads. I also used your forecasts to enjoy a 3 month driving retirement trip around the US and only had a 4 hour window of bad weather, which I knew would happen. Keep up the great work. Your channel helps more than you know.

  8. Anyone on the EC, pack away/get rid of all snow gear (shovels, plows, parkas, etc.) there’s officially no more winter!! Not now, not ever again!! If you wanna see snow then move to California or Florida, they’ll have more snow than ANY EC state!!!

  9. I forgot the year but my grand parents spoke of a winter that was a minor winter at Michigan standards. Until March, March was a month long blizzard when they were walking looking down on the cross arms of the electric poles., big ass snow banks. I was born in late winter of 59, the pictures of our driveway the old 48 ford the drifts were a few feet above the car. Is it settling up for blizzards like those?
