  1. LUKE 2:6-7
    6 And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born.
    7 She gave birth to her firstborn Son. She wrapped Him snugly in strips of cloth and laid Him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them.

    saiah 25:8-9

    English Standard Version

    8     He will swallow up death forever;
    and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces,
        and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth,
        for the Lord has spoken.
    9 It will be said on that day,
        “Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us.
        This is the Lord; we have waited for him;
        let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.”

    Sickness can lay us up in bed for quite a few days. We've all had the flu and that will make you feel just horrible for days, body aches, fever, chills. Even just the common cold can hang on for a week or more.

    There is one sickness that's been around since the fall of man…SIN, yes sin. These past few years we've all heard news anchors, politicians and so-called elites use the phrase, "The Existential Threat" to society is…and they fill in this blank with many things. The real existential threat to society is Sin! Sin is passed around to everyone. Sin is everywhere. You never hear about this from any of those news anchors, politicians or so-called elites.

    We were all born with this horrible disease, and it just gets worse as we grow. Why don't we hear more about this disease? Because we all have it and we are ashamed of it. On the outside this disease may not show up in a hideous way that makes us look grotesque. But on the inside it ravages our souls, and can suck the love of the heart totally away.

    Is there a medication that a doctor can prescribe for this sickness? No. No doctor in this world can take it away, no surgeon can surgically remove it. No psychologist can work it out of you. What are we to do? Many in this world love their Sin. Sin is and will be the number one killer of the soul.

    James tells us there is a remedy though. This is great news! So what is the remedy? Faithful Prayer. Jesus Christ, the doctor above all doctors can and will take this horrible disease away. Through Faithful Prayer daily to our Lord Jesus Christ He will take sin away and raise us up. He will raise us up above this disease called sin.

    If you are sick of being sick, come to the Lord in Faithful Prayer and He will take it away, and raise you up. You will be forgiven. Jesus is the doctor that can do this, the only one that can take Sin away. Jesus makes house calls free of charge, He is available 24/7 and no appointment is necessary. There is no waiting room, just a quiet place alone with him. Go to Jesus today, don't wait for this disease to fester any longer, because in the end this disease called Sin will kill the soul in Hell.

    Faithful Prayer to Jesus Christ is the medication that the doctor above all doctors has prescribed. You will need to do this humbly and in humility and shamefully, but Jesus will save your soul through Faithful Prayer.
