LEGO City Roads Destroyed & Amusement Park Update!

In this LEGO City amusement park update I DESTROY MY ROADS! But don’t worry, it’s all good! I decided I could fully tile off the amusement park if I temporarily borrowed tiles from the sidewalks… so that’s just what I did. Now I just need to wait for the Dark Azure brick to arrive to add the bike lanes and fix the roads. In the meantime, I decided to fully tile and fence off the amusement park.

  1. In the corner behind the Roller Coaster PLEASEEEE DONT PUT A FOOD VENDOR… think about an actual park… would they stuff a food vendor there? NO!…. either place a bathroom or maybe a first aid station or a staff area… don't put a food vendor that doesn't belong and takes away from the immersion.

  2. I totally understand how heartbreaking it is to decinstruct lego you've devoted time to. Been there! Heres an idea that may conserve a few grey pieces: have you considered using random printed pieces as graffiti?

  3. Next big project idea: Replace the multi-colored tower around the support post with a giant glass tower. Have a bunch of observation platforms up it and a big helipad up high and then also run a wire cable from post to shelf above observatory and hang some cable cars off it. As an extra cool feature of tower you could change the glass color or layout to spell a giant BRICKSIE down the front side. You could also stick LED light strips on post before building to light up tower from inside. Much love from Brisbane, Australia. πŸ™‚ p.s. Also still think you should run an LED strip under the raised platform and put clear panels on back of the train station there (and dungeon you plan to do) to light them up from behind.

  4. After seeing you adding cycle lanes I think the biggest improvement you could make to your city would be to change your roads to brick built with black bricks as it would loose a lot of the grey and add a huge boost of contrast to the city and really make the surrounding colours pop. Would be a huge task and expensive but would look insane

  5. Hi Bricksie, just a thought for around the water at Disney Castle, I agree with another poster(@benforthewin) that maybe hedges to block water access but leave the β€œcorners”open to use quarter round tiles to create a β€œMickey Mouse” design. Would add that extra bit of color you’re trying to incorporate into your city. Very impressed with all your work here, just amazing!! 22:09

  6. You know his video's are great, when it makes you want to go do something with your own lego. Wasn't planning to today but after this I'm wanting to, only thing is I'm not sure what I'd do. I could build a set but not sure if i want to today, then its what set to I open next, i just finished my corner garage the other day.

I guess i can get better pictures of my small medieval build for my Instagram maybe. Been meaning to do that for a while

  7. Looks great! You made a lot of progress in this update.
A suggestion for the water around the disney castle, you could do rock work like what you do for the mountains. They don't need to be nearly as high, 2 to 3 bricks tall should suffice but it would act like a "natural" barrier rather than putting a fence or hedge.

  9. My local area's bike trails go through parks. You've got the green space with the frog cherry tree that would make a great transition for the bike trail. And also through the future farmer's market/park around the farm.

  10. Looking good love the addition of the bike lane..I didn't see anywhere to park the bikes, maybe I missed it even if it's down by the beach or town Square or zoo that maybe a swell idea if possible.

  11. I agree about the upscaled figures. I think they're awesome and wish for more. My set had an extra bag 1 and was missing a bag 2. The customer service was great and I received the missing parts within 2 weeks.

  14. Would you consider capping off the nougat masonry wall with feature tiles/pieces? It might finish the top of the wall nicely! Kind of like what you’ve done with the resd tile on those white fence elements. Love seeing the evolution of your city, mate!

  15. excuse my ignorance but why do i hear you so often placing orders from europe etc? Why is it more affordable? Are there no custom fees or big delays from shipments from Europe to Canada? Just curious that's all πŸ™‚

  17. Great update! Amusement park is looking really sweet. Excited to see the bike paths finished. I would add the same fencing similar to the bridge, same look and feel. The palm tress are also a nice addition….very cool use of parts. Be safe and well!
