  4. Hello Kylie and Dale! It looks like Arlo was doing really good, compared to what you had said he had done before. I was noticing that in the comments, nobody said anything about a turkey sphincter!! Lol! Y’all are so great! I am watching from Iowa in the USA, and I love that I found your channel.   7. Missy is my little Maltese mix. She’s so precious….timid…. But hates to be groomed!! The last time I picked her up from the groomer she seemed traumatized…slept all evening. I did noticed that there was a man there with a black apron on….maybe bathing the dogs. Missy is terrified of men. So maybe there was a problem there. She was a rescue an obviously had been mistreated. So ……I have done all her grooming here at home for the last 4 years.

I agree 100% with the comments you made while bathing him that you were ignoring the growling & biting and “getting on with it to get the job done.” This stands in stark contrast to the pushback you gave me on another dog behaving the same way. That groom took an exceedingly long time because you stopped every time the dog seemed to mind what you’re doing. Your explanation was that you were “listening to the dog”. Okay, fair enough. So some dogs are “listened to” and other dogs aren’t because you “just have to get on with getting the groom done”? What is the criteria for treating dogs so differently when they’re behaving the same way?

Good boy Arlo,,,so happy he has made such great progress,,you are amazing at teaching dogs to trust you in a groom ,,,congrats on the ten thousand mark ,,so happy for you,,,love Dale's willingness to help you & his wanting to pet & love on the dogs but since he's not good at reading the language please Dale listen to your wife I would hate to see you get hurt,,,love the videos,,have a wonderful & blessed day 🙂❤️🐶

Kylie have you ever looked into anti-histamine grooms, childrens or bay benadryl has been used on dogs but you need tolook into it a bit, it will make them sleepy/drowsy without sedation. maybe ask your vet. I know this is different but i live with a great deal of pain and my dr put me onto anti-histamines to calm me during bad bouts of pain rather than pain medication it also helps to get some sleep. I hope this gives you an avenue to try. Hugs loves and cuddles to all.

  25. I think we react to our dogs and cats like Dale does because they are like our own little children, and we want to comfort them when they are upset. I groom my dogs here at my home in the garage. I'm in AZ. I have a setup similar to yours, just no bathing system, just the good old tub and shower head. And I had a white mini schnauzer for 15 yrs and he HATED grooming. But I did it anyway, 😆
