How I Color Correct and Color Grade my Video Footage | BMPCC 6K PRO & Sony a7iv

This is a tutorial on how I color correct and grade my video footage that you see on my YouTube channel! I shoot on the BlackMagic 6K PRO in braw and the Sony a7iv in SLOG3. In this tutorial, I go over my process of converting log footage to rec709, show the FREE creative lut that provides the look for my footage, and go over some basic color corrections that I apply to nearly every clip. If you have any questions, please leave me a comment!

  1. Wow! This is unbelievably helpful! I’ve never done this kind of sophisticated work with video, but your explanations are so clear. The demos with the variety of different situations are exceptional. Fortunately, I’ve been shoot stills using exclusively RAW files since the Nikon D50 and Apple’s old Aperture editor over 15 years ago, so I get the general concepts, but I would never find all these methods, tabs, and everything else in Resolve without this guidance. Awesome video!

  2. Your generosity and wisdom make you a stand-out content creator, man. Ever since the days when you'd do long exposures and commentary on why certain shots appealed to you — love your work, and thank you for always being willing to teach and share ❤
