Mr Maple guides Paul around the city of Seattle! Along the way, they encounter construction sites, other dogs, and even a YouTube fan! Watch Mr Maple use his skills of “generalization” to locate familiar objects in a brand new setting. You’ll also see Mr Maple make a mistake (because guide dogs are just like us: NOT PERFECT!)

Does Mr Maple act any different when you are out with Matthew then when you are on your own?
Oh my goodness how clever Mr Maple is!!! Absolutely incredible!!! He is also so sweet! Love you guys!❤
🤗💖💖💖💖💖
Doesn't the signals for pedestrians have sound where you live? Here in Sweden they are ticking or beeping slowly when it's red and fast when it's green. Very easy to hear for a person with limited sight. In Japan they play happy tunes when it's time to cross the street.
I LOOOVE MAPLE AND HIS OUTFIT
Love you guys! You have such a lovely relationship. You make me so happy!
As usual you make my day brighter. Thanks for every smile <3
Try the herb eyebright. Hope this helps.❤
omg mr. maple looks so dang cuite in his rain jacket and mr.maple is like " i look so handsome in my rain jacket " yll are amazing and mr.maple is too dang cuite
I just ordered one of your pieces with Mr. Maple. It is such a cute drawing. Have you ever considered doing an illustrated book talking about the things and tasks that a guide dog can do…especially for children to see and become aware of? Maple can star in it with those drawings of him
I love your videos so much – so informative! Could you do something on intelligent disobedience – maybe sharing some stories of when Maple exhibited intelligent disobedience, or simulating such a situation if you felt comfortable? I always find this particularly fascinating.
Thank you both (and Maple) for your willingness to share with us.
Not at all surprised that everyone loves you guys. I love how kind you all were and that you made time to talk to strangers on the street.
You guys are awesome! I got Paul’s calendar and I love it <3
I was hoping to magically run into you guys when we were in Seattle last May before our cruise. How fun she got to meet you two! ❤
I like it when you are walking around the city. I'm from there and I live in texas now and I love seeing home.
I know Mr. Maple is a working guide dog but I didn't realize how hard he works during these walks! What a good job he is doing. Mr. Maple is a very good boy! ❤😘🐶
Love you both and how you can overcome prejudice together. its so sweet. Its good to have lovely people around you when you are part of the queer community 😊
0:45 you can see how maple’s tail tuck once the harness is on
Me waiting for matthew to fall down a pothole while walking backwards 😂
Everyone is saying, how Mr. Maple is good and smart dog (wich he are), but I want to say, how incredible is the fact, that Matthew and Paul became so popular couple in so short time! So much people recognize you both in public, it’s fantastic!
Mr Maple hesitated and didn't show interest in the Doggie Day Care because he had his harness on. He was working and couldn't play.
In 1993 we were fortunate to adopt a change of career Guide Dog from the San Rafael campus. Bear weighed 90 pounds, was a black Lab. He hated water too! We could not get him to swim and he really didn’t play. He and I walked so many miles in the 9.5 years he was with us.
I love your priorities
Paul, thank you so much for sharing with us what it's like to have Mr. Maple guide you. I've always been so curious about how guide dogs work and I learned so much from this video. It's so important for people who can see, to know what it's like for blind people and their guide dogs. Thank you, I love you guys! 🙂
I watched this 3 times. It’s so interesting!
Just had to take a moment to say how much I enjoyed this video. Listening to Paul explain how his guide dog works with him is fascinating. It's really amazing how smart Mr. Maple is with navigating the city, especially in unfamiliar areas. I also loved how Matthew helped explain things for Paul & us viewers. It was really lovely seeing you guys enjoy yourselves & meet some fans on the street, too. Your positivity, humor, pranks & just plain wonderful authenticity radiates in all your videos. Thank you for sharing your journey with us! May you guys have a wonderful, blessed 2024!
I'm glad you showed how Mr Maple has to be off duty to get a pat, it's all in their training & educating the public as well. Guide dogs are such beautiful dogs but you have to respect that they are doing a very important job when out and about with their person. ❤
This video makes me happy! Maple is sooooo cute!! I love Paul's laughter alot! And your funny prank, Matthew! Im following you guys intagram, too!
TWINK WALKING, HONEY!
I AM SO HAPPY
After watching your full story up to this point, I've decided to join your patreon. Thank you both for sharing your story and Maple with us.
And a general question for Paul, he calls Maple his guide dog which i think is very dignified and poignant. Is the term "seeing eye dog" an inappropriate term for guide dogs or maybe is a term abled people coined that isnt really used?
I thought you are completely blind, I’m glad to know you have at least the tunnel vision.
My mom is an ophthalmologist and told me that it usually is everything to the people that are loosing vision.
I can’t count the many times mom told me about a patient that was supposed to loose their one “good” eye
