A glimpse into life as it used to be.
so good. classic
Look at their dress and everything. Lifestyle changed a lot.
No matter what anyone says, the best stories have happy endings, and at the end of a story, we all want to hear the words, "and they lived happily ever after". Case in point, no one gripes about how DA ended, unlike GOT, which people are still mad as hell about to this day., and probably will be until the day after forever.
Maybe not. My recolletion is that the first scene starts with the telegram regarding the sinking of the Titanic being in progress.
Unpopular opinion: I loved this series but one thing that was a pet peeve of mine was the insistence that everyone ultimately be coupled.
I miss this show so much GAHDD!!!
I always roll my eyes at how spiteful and vindictive Miss O'Brien and Tom are, every time they opens their mouths.
Although Downton Abbey was a good show to watch but my comment is that that the high society people of that time were very demanding and I think that they really took the opportunity to over work these poor people
Love it ❤
Such a brilliant show, my fav! I hope they continue it sometime ❤❤❤
Downton Abbey and Schitts Creek are my two absolute favorites. Two incredibly different shows that invoke the same utter joy in me. Thank you endlessly to all those with a hand in each. ❤❤❤
What you're calling the "first scene" is really three minutes into the first episode. In the first three minutes, we see the telegraph operator's hand typing out news of the Titanic, Mr. Bates on the train, a conversation among the staff of the recipients of the telegraph, Daisy waking up the servants, Daisy's conversation with Mrs. Patmore, and Daisy making her way upstairs. All of that happens before Thomas enters the Hall and asks, "any sign of William." I'm sure you know that, Downton Abbey YouTube account 🙂, so I'm curious why you decided to start this video so late into the episode.
I've always loved how Mary went to the window as the bicyclist rode past—the family's fortune about to change with the arrival of The Times.
What a splendid series! I stumbled across it by complete accident — it was being shown on a TV in a barbecue joint, of all places — and I was hooked immediately.
tell me why I am tearing up even though I've only seen a bunch of scenes from this show, and not the actual show
Believe it or not my 22 year old son and his best friend binge watched this series. They went on and on about how intelligent the writing was, the plot twists, hating on certain characters, the excellent acting,, the beautiful costumes and settings. I had to watch for myself. From the first episode I was in love with this show. IF there is anyone out there who hasn't watched this series, what are you waiting for?
I miss it terribly
Suely the ladies from all classes would be taken off, regardless of class.
How I wished we could have had more seasons. How did East Enders and Coronation st go on with numerous seasons and we only got 6 of D A 😭
I can perfectly picture Lord and Lady Grantham behaving as noble as Isidor and Ida Strauss if they were in the Titanic. Heartbreaking but admirable at the same time. Such rich people materially and inside their hearts as well.
Love how Lady Mary grew from being selfish to being so gracious.
The love I feel for each every single one of these people is incredible. I feel like I know them and they're all my friends and I wish them happiness forever♥♥♥ amazing show and cast
The first scene, after the telegraph office, was Mr. Bates riding on the train under the credits.
Downton Abbey – Enchanting from start to finish ❤️🫶❤️ Wish the Series could go on & on & on. The Cast couldn't have been more Perfect. RIP Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess.
How l wish I could watch I for the first time again. I will never get tired of watching it.
I loved every second of the series, and the films. Always had a real soft spot for Tom the chauffeur.
One of the Best TV Series in my life😊
