With five distinguished species, these snakes have the capability to glide from trees, covering a maximum distance of three hundred and thirty feet. Being diurnal hunters, they feast on lizards, birds, bats, frogs, and rodents. Although they possess venom, their small fixed rear fangs are not harmful to humans. What’s truly intriguing is their capability to glide. Taking advantage of ridge scales, they ascend trees, and then propel off branches, dynamically altering their body shape in mid-air to manage direction and landing.
