I'm enjoying watching NL play but I think I'd hate to play this myself. Despite what NL says about the constant new techniques feeling fresh, the problem this causes is that the player is never given a chance to gain comfort/mastery with each technique through repetition, which leads to so many instances of messing up by not knowing exactly what the game wants you to do.

In this instance, the game is Harry, NL is Dumbledore, and the new card trick is the well water.
