  1. hi Tyler
Rent a trench digger put irrigation tube around the chicken coupe and the tortise fencing and the dirt your gonna have raise the ground level to drain in the irrigation tubing

  2. Please hire a professional to look at your land. Adding a pond will make FLOODING WORSE…You may have to invest in hauling in topsoil in this he low areas to help water to run off. Guess we know why previous owners moved 😒

  3. Honestly, I would just go and get a few truckloads of chert brought out to build up your flood, zones and honestly plan out some ditches to go wherever your pond is for your gators. One day would be the ultimate idea.

  4. Drill home deep holes at the worst flooded places with a 10 inch borer and fill with shingle that will drain the flood water away β€β€β€β€β€β€β€β€β€β€β€β€β€β€β€β€β€β€πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚β€β€β€β€

  5. Hey Tyler, sorry about the flooding and Peewee. It sucks. The catch pond is a good idea. You have been working your butt off, and this is your first summer. You are learning what needs fixed. On that note, to keep you from having more loss…. I'm bringing up a topic that you should be aware of living in an area that floods and gets hot. You have animals susceptible to getting this. I assume FL is in or entering it hotter months – you need to keep an eye on your animals that eat from the ground. Goats, birds, and even your dogs and calf could possibly get sick if they graze on grasses or come in contact with this parasite.
    *****Coccidiosis******
It can kill fast if you don't notice the symptoms. Having larger numbers of animals, it can be easy to miss, and in some animals, especially younger ones, it can only take a a couple days before they need hospitalized.

***Watch for soft to running, liquid to bloody stools. It acts similar to Parvo does and in some animals, and they start shedding the lining of their intestine. At that point, it smells horrible because of the blood.
***Watch for animals that stop eating and drinking. Dehydration kills pretty fast, especially in young animals.
Baby and younger animals aren't equipped to fight Coccidiosis and can go down hill very fast.
Talk to your vet or other established experienced farmers for help and ideas on how to cope with this issue and prevention for the future. If you notice these symptoms, call your vet ASAP so the animal can be treated. It is treatable, but the longer they go without, the sicker they will get.
