They have divided the kcet marks with 180 but not with 141…so only there is this much rank variation…

Can someone clarify if rank was given out of 180 or 141 because most of the people's ranks have doubled or tripled from their expected ranks.
No. of students appeared for the exam
2024 – 3.1 Lakh
2023 – 2.6 Lakh
2022 – 2.1 Lakh
The difference per year is almost same but the ranks for marks was very similar throughout the years but this year the marks vs rank has deviated a lot. If you say due to more people, then mind you the people appearing should be doubled for such variation.
Last year:
Getting 100/180 and 295-296 before would get you 3k rank but if you remove excluded questions and even if you lose 15-20 questions your rank is almost halved.
If you got 80/141 and 294, then take 50% of both and you got around total % as 77 which in previous years was about 3-4k rank but this year it skyrocketed to 7k
