  3. Hey Hun thanks for taking the time to create this. It's definitely frustrating for me at times as a smaller content creator. I have 2 channels and sometimes I feel like I put in so much work and I ask my self is it even worth it because I've been doing it since 2019. They say consistency but I post often and still the struggle is real

  4. I always appreciate these kind of videos. I live in JA now but when I first started my other YouTube doing makeup in the US, I definitely saw alot of black American youtubers complain about the same issues, being low balled with brands, other not so nice influencers etc. But I feel like if you have a goal and a vision of why you want to be an influencer it's definitely worth the annoyances and obstacles that come with it! And I hear what you're saying about reaching out to influencers, but mist of these bigger influencers are so rude just because of numbers, but I digress lol, Great vid! 🤎

  7. The competition is real. First day of school social media shows many kids from Junior Kindergarten career aspiration being an influencer/ youtuber. I know someone who is 10 who does not do any work at school because her goal is to be a Youtuber and artist. The competition is gonna be stiff so you have to be persistent and stand out.

  8. Hi Bicana thanks for this video I wanted to do YouTube for a very long time. I finally started in 2021 I can say a lot of work goes into creating content the behind the scene is real. I now appreciate the work YouTubers do, at first just watching videos seems easy but it’s hard work and yes being a content creator is a real job😊. After being a YouTuber for a year I really appreciate the journey.

  10. Good information as always. Sad to say that colorism and classism have seeped into this sphere. And the sad part about it, is that the viewers gravitate to and support the content creators/vloggers who fit into those groups…perceives social status (from uptown & known family name) and are of lighter complexion. These issues will never go away…and those ppl that benefits from classism and colorism will continue to accept the rewards without a problem. Stay safe and blessed.
