Bad day on the farm

A surprise rainstorm and a broke down truck make for a bad day on the farm. We are right in the middle of straw harvest season and up until now, things were going pretty smooth aside from a shortage of drivers. The first rainstorm of the year was definitely a good one!

  1. Yes, I say “hay” when it’s technically straw. It’s the same as someone calling every skid steer a Bobcat, or ever telehandler a Gradall. It’s not really that big of a deal, no need to email me about it…

  2. Casey, when you do the big reveal video, would you please put Jesse's contact details in the video description. My son is down in Georgia hauling stuff on a farm till December, and after that he would be interested in any heavy vehicle driving work.

  3. I knew pilot for The Flying Tiger air cargo company flew 747's would fly from Base in New York to LA international airport California load/ discharge cargo; then Hawaii, from there Perth Australia discharge cargo. Ready for this load 240 head of cattle for Japan beef market. The import tax on live beef was 50% less than Frozen side of beef in Japan. Discharge the cows washout then load 10,000 Japan made computers other electronic. Sadly Flying Tiger air cargo no longer exist was started by 5 retired military men at end of WW2. I met the pilot when flying on a comuter airlines that flew between islands of Guam, Rota (he lived on Rota it's 10by1.6 miles) Tinian (where the atomic bomb were loaded WW2) Saipan where I managed a business at the time. Your mention of your friend being a pilot reminded of the man. Interesting life he lived this somewhere between 1979-1980.

  4. WOW when much needed rain comes at the least ideal time! Partially jealous there was actual rain and thunder and lighting. Most definitely interested seeing the fancy new equipment Casey! Keep these rad videos coming.
