Thank you for joining us here on UK Theme Parks, as we head back down to Hayling Island for a Funland close season update for the start of December and its all change! Its just 2 days until Winter Wonderland opens for 2022 and Funland Hayling Island is still working hard behind the scenes.
With just 2 weeks down since our last visit, it is all change! We can tell you that the Flume of Doom will now be referbished after the decision was made not to extend the smaller one and to move it on from the park. The Referbishment on this will re-imagine the area with a likely new name and theme for late Spring/Early Summer 2023.
The reason this has changed is becasue the Referbishment on the Miami is no longer taking place, that too will leave the park shortly. With the Crazy Bus coming in watch this space for any news of new rides.

Funland winter update
Very confusing decisions from the park but that's fare enough. I hope they improve the environment of the big Log Flume? I'm looking forward to seeing how Temple Heights works out in the park? Very sad to hear about Extreme leaving the park as it was a second signature ride for the park but I hope it gets replaced by a new Thrill ride? I look forward to seeing more updates from your channel in the next coming months?

Adam how can The Flume Of Doom stay I thought you said it reached the end of its service life? Iām not complaining personally I think Funland should keep The Flume of Doom.
The miami is brilliant there – really enjoyed some rides last season. Bit gutted with that news tbh
So with the new redeveloped log flume, will this mean more climbs and drops or the remaining climb and drop being the only climb and drop and its the theming changing? Because do think maybe yes a reimagined theme 100% going there, but also making ride more bigger & longer with maybe a first climb and small drop to then building up to the final climb & big drop into final splash before end? Make ride more better like Chessington but smaller I mean way smaller. Also, make changes to station with queue line made bigger & longer with more theming and bigger station? Know all we can do is wait and see what happens to it. But be good hopefully once opens in 2023. Cheers for update, enjoyed 100% and look forward for more soon. šš
Just to add, I couldn't care less where the Miami is going, my focus is very much supporting Funland
