Curious why weather forecasters never really mention Massachusetts when talking about the Northeast forcasting? Is it bc they can't pronounce it with ease? Let me help you like I did my kids growing up…MASS- A- CHEW- SETS or to shorten just say Mass. 😉

I’m from Minnesota, we did indeed get over a foot of wet heavy snow, alongside some sleet. It’s beautiful outside, especially near the sidewalks you have massive snow banks. The trees are weighed down though.
It was a impressive system. It ended up being 1.25-1.5 inches of total liquid – the whole month of January gets only 0.9 inches on average.
I think it’s to our favor. Glory to God, the drought from the fall is already getting better – it’s improved from extreme to moderate already by Tuesday 6am (before the storm) according to Drought Monitor. By next Tuesday I think it will improve even more.
Minneapolis got 15.5” of snow. Argh!
