  2. I think you have the shrine activation backwards. The green swirl indicates not activated shrines and no swirl indicates already activated. You see it that way on the minimal through the gameplay and it would also make sense that the green swirl would make it easy to see inactivated shrines in the distance as opposed to having no indication aside from an egg shaped rock.

  3. This is probably one of the most detailed analysis videos about The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Without question this game is going to dwarf Zelda BOTW in terms of both size, content, gameplay, and technical prowess. Why do I say this? Because even as large and gargantuan Zelda BOTW is, it was originally intended and built for the Wii U, not the switch, of which it was ported to, again, PORTED to. Zelda TOTK on the other hand is/was built entirely from scratch for the Nintendo Switch, utilizing every single bit of the Nintendo Switch's Nvidia Tegra X1 Maxwell architecture. Without a shadow of doubt, speaking in terms of technical prowess, this is most technically impressive game on the Nintendo Switch with Metroid Prime Remastered being the most impressive remaster on the Nintendo Switch.

The seamless skydiving from the sky to the ground or bodies of water, the ascend ability, the fuse ability, the Ultrahand ability, and the recall ability is absolutely mind-blowing, and that's without even knowing what Link's other new abilities are. This game/sequel is going to push the Nintendo Switch's hardware to its absolute limits. Something else that's worth mentioning is the fact that Link's new abilities this time around is organic with unimaginably powerful magic, whereas the sheikah slate abilities were solely based on ancient but highly sophisticated technology, keyword being " technology ". Even the emblems of Link's new abilities have an intrinsically organic design. Also, evidently some people have been ignoring the fact that there's going to be new and maybe even returning enemies from previous Zelda games. There's obviously going to be new side quests, new and returning NPCs with different objectives, massive dungeons, a herculean amount of secrets to uncover, new weapons and shields, new types of clothing, I mean bruh, the list just goes on and on.

The word sequel is ambiguous. It depends on the overall structure and subsequent setting that the sequel takes place in. A sequel can take place in a completely different world, OR it can take place in the same world with an entirely different topography and atmosphere, and Zelda Tears of the Kingdom matches the latter description perfectly. The fact that the graphical art style is identical to Zelda Breath of the Wild's is a red-herring, because there's a plethora of differences between this one and it's predecessor.

Furthermore, the wording of the titles are juxtaposed. " Breath of the Wild " puts a heavy emphasis on open-world exploration, " Tears of the Kingdom " is much more thematic in tone. Just think about it, all of the previous Zelda games had/have thematic nouns for titles, " Ocarina of Time ", " Wind Waker ", " Twilight Princess ", " Four Swords Adventures ", " A Link to the Past ", " Minish Cap ", " Link's Awakening ", " Skyward Sword ", " Phantom Hourglass ", " Spirit Tracks ", and last but most certainly not least, " Majora's Mask " . To be more specific, Zelda Breath of the Wild has more of a focus on exploring the world and it's environments and less on story and thematic dungeons and thematic items. Zelda Tears of the Kingdom on the other hand has a MUCH heavier focus on story and thematic elements, which is clearly evident from all of the trailers and this recent ten minute gameplay of it.

So while Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is considerably and notably more beefier than Zelda BOTW (which is a remarkable achievement), its combining linear gameplay and open-world gameplay into one cohesive gameplay element that's synergistically complimentary towards each other.

Nintendo has another masterpiece of the century on their hands without question, and they've put so much meticulous effort, time, resources, labor, and money into this hulking behemoth to make it uniquely standout from it's predecessor.

  4. I would guess the new, stronger malice probably destroyed all of the sheika shines, towers, guardians, and other sheika tech. That could be why they are all gone. I would guess that when that happens somehow the zonai towers and other such technology fall from the sky and implant in the ground, and a few sky island may come into view.

  5. I think the constucts in this gameplay has 14 hit points each. The stick deals 2 damage, which would mean we need to hit the construct 7 times to kill it. With the boulder, it gains an additional 2 damage, for a total of 4. That means we kill a construct in 3 1/2 hits, or 4 since we can't hit half a time. The long stick+pitchfork combo deals s total of 6 damage, which would kill a construct in 2 1/3 hits, or again 3 since we can't hit a third of a time. This matches up with how many hits we see in the gameplay, as well as with the damage each weapon is shown to do.
