Contrast+ How to Paint: Deathleaper

Deathleaper is here and he creeps his way into Warhipster Towers for a paintjob! Whilst he looks really complicated this guy is surprisingly easy in the colours of Hive Fleet Leviathan. A slightly darker model than the others so far but this miniature is a painters dream. The Apex Stealthy predator? You bet he is!

  1. That cape… that damned cape 😍
What a genius idea to add it to the model. Tyranids are supposed to be almost completely without their own will, but that cape adds personality. Like he is such a dangerous Alpha Lictor, that he's allowed to have his own will to do his job better. Adding a simple flesh cape embodies all these concepts, 10/10 model.

  2. Aside from looking cool, the cape makes a certain amount of sense.

The Death Leaper isn't the typical lictor assassin, its a tool of terror and psychological warfare. Its supposed to come across like some mysterious monster ripped from the depths of the human psyche and brought to life.
