Can we please collectively let Todd and the rest of the Starfield Dev's know how very very bad the Beard creation is. to push for fix right away of the 'Beard generations which looks as you have a human face with a cartoon Beard. I want to be able to create a character with a Beard like yours which is what many gamers did in Skyrim. thank for all your cool videos.

  2. On the "magic" thing, the alien pieces did raise up and swirl around to connect when your character brings them in during the early game footage. Not sure how the in game is going to explain it, but certainly higher technology that you know can look like magic. Or maybe we can be space wizard cowboys. Be interesting to see how it fits in the lore of this new setting.

  3. Can’t see lots of breakthrough after years , maybe a heavy modded Skyrim is even better than that , and pls use don’t use program to generate tons of repeat and meaningless quests to the players(but I guess they are gonna do that)

  4. The last scene was their mic drop moment – Jedi Force powers? It is most likely tied in with the main quest, some telekinetic-ish or gravitational/time dilation control imparted by interaction with the artifacts you collect (speculation, I know, but it seems to fit the game and story arc).

  5. AWESOME REVIEW MAN! You're one of 6 YTers who did this the RIGHT way. No talking over the narrator/devs who were explainng the very features that questions were being posed to. No stupid distractions with chat. No monologing about how bad you think SF would be based on Bethesda's past failed titles. No using the stream as a front to engage ppl in chat, because you're more into subs/likes than being interested in the game. No jumping up on chairs gyrating your crotch before the camera etc etc. Thanks for being the much needed grown up in the room. YT has devolved into an animal house of juvenile idiotic 5 year olds.

  6. I for one who have played elite dangerous and is bad at landing on planets especially in stations. I like this idea of computer control landing kind of thing but that's just me

  7. Energy management on ships will be easy, you can do it on the fly with your D pad. I know this because on the controller, it literally says DIST next to the golden D pad, and they said its designed after the controls of the shop. Energy management is not novel to this game, Elite Dangerous has pip management similar to this and changing on the fly is simple.

  8. 38:40 the amount of people laughing at this is a little cringe tbh, these are classic Maori tattoos and a nice nod to the continued existence of Earth culture in this Starfield universe. Similar to when they used bagpipes in Dune as the Atreides anthem, its meant to ground a highly futuristic concept in actual real life.

Regarding the NMS comarission: Of course we have a bunch of other space exploration games: Mass Effect 1/2/3/Andromeda, Elite, Elite II, Elite III, Elite Dangerous, Starflight 1 & 2, Star Control II, Sundog, Hard Nova… THESE are the games that influenced Starfield much more then NMS. Do you realy think Starfield wouldnt exist wihout NMS? Or have no resource collection? Maybe, JUST maybe collecting resources with a hand-tool is the simplist and logical way to collect resources in the first place… and the games i mentioned influenced NMS already.

  11. 30:14 Ye, it's kinda silly that in NMS you can't customize their look at all. I do understand their desire to keep models unique, so you have to go out and look for stuff you like out there in the stars. Maybe other star system decided to make their ships out of something more appealing and maybe these modules are not so easy to disassemble and combine with modules from other ships. Maybe. But come one, why give it a new paint job is such a problem and I have to go out there and find another exact combination of parts, but in different color? That's doesn't make any sense. Well, perhaps lock a system to a couple paint jobs they can give. Maybe they have a shortage on other paints, who knows… Nope, here's your ship. You like its shape, but not this fugly shade of green? Boo-hoo, jokes on you!

    54:54 Re 14:38 XD Presence of odd forces was hinted right there. You literally join a group looking for oddities like this, so no wonder you'll pick some up on the way. They grounding game in realism, but add sci-fi to it. After all what is magic? It's the unknown. It's science to be done to call it technology. After all, if we encounter some advanced tech from a civilization hundreds of years ahead of us in tech we'll be gawking at it and consider it magic until we figure out how it works. Especially if they found out some quirky loopholes in physics we couldn't even imagine possible. Magic remain magic only when there's no rhyme or reason to it. When it just do something and there's no possible explanation to it whatsoever. If you take Harry Potter universe, as for example, and imagine secrecy statute has failed on a planet scale. Now entire world knows about existence of magic. What will happen? We'll science the ever-loving f**k out of that magic, we will find out how it work and we'll make technology out of it. And weapons, of course we'll invent new ways to kill each other.

  12. planets that are barran, devoid of life are not unusual in real life…why would it be different in the game? to me, if every planet in the game had life, then that wouldn't be realistic
