This sorta gives me some Edge of Space vibes
How did you know I consume Steam? Darn! My cover is blown, now everybody knows I'm a steampunk simulacrum…
I see this game being addictive specially endless mode
Mom, I want to be a Blastronaut when I grow up!
The lighting effects when jumping are very nicely done. The Editor is promising, I wonder what kind of community content will get made
This one looks awesome, Splat! Kudos to the Devs for really stepping up their game by releasing free demos in advance to the release. Games like Core Keeper, Nova Islands and now Blastronaut are having way better sales than a ton of games you have reviewed in the past. I think that in part this is due to them having very polished demos out ahead of release. They definitely have me hooked!
Things never happen "on" accident, they've only ever been by accident, like things happen by chance, or when something is by the by or when something else happens by happenstance.
See how consistent English is? You do things on purpose, don't you, like you can do things on a whim, or on a fancy, or on an impulse. You see how the prepositions, apart from being consistent, denote intent? amazing, the sort of thing we teach to kids in Primary School, so where were you when that was being taught. How can you skip that and then do a geology degree?
It can't be "on" accident. Seriously, why are you younger Americans doing that shit all of a sudden? It looks like you're assisting each other in being functionally illiterate, a specific problem to the US. English phrasal verbs are extremely specific and are not interchangeable. If someone is about to walk off a cliff, you don't shout out "look on", "look about", "look in" , no, only "Look out" would make any sense in that situation, not interchangeable, stop it.
English also ceased to be a subjective language in Tudor times. When people do that since the 19th Century it is now taken as a sign of a lack of reading or literate conversation around that person.
16:12 He was at 148/150 on the objective and instead of picking up 2 more rocks, he threw all of them into the furnace, reducing his count to 0/150. 🤦♂Although I think the game developers are really to blame here, if the task is "collect" 150 of something it should still count ones that you've traded or used. If it said "have" 150 of something then you would need to have all of them at the same time.
Splat! Please take a look at the game Nienix, addictive, amazing and that loot! 🙂
Added to wishlist, looks fun. Has coop too!
Lol "Whoa! What is that? Can I kill it?"
Reminds me a bit of 'Starbound'.
Ooooh…what’s this!!?
owh. it so cute. go wishlist
Lighting effects are neat. I like how the guns and the jetpack light up the edges of blocks in a realistic but cartoony way.
If you like mining planets check out The Mole Men. Fight space bats, carve your own tunnels, and die a lot. Plus, you have a grapple, and any game that allows you to grapple is instantly awesome.
SST should be shown in every school, would you like to know more?..
In space there is only DaakkaaDaakkaa!
No such thing as too much daakkaa !
Random ork boye
Blow up rocks, refuel. Then blow up more rocks. And more importantly, dont blow yourself up while blowing up rocks. Besides that, it looks so easy, almost like a respite for all those stupidly hard pixel games out there.
You studied Geology? That's cool! I'm currently in school studying astrophysics with a specialty in plasma physics and exo-planet formation. Would you ever like to trade notes on mineralogy and space rocks?
You're necessary because we love you!
OMFG that Madonna/Cyndi Lauper riff… instant classic!
Maybe I watch too much American dad but every time you say dive on in I immediately go to Roger. 😂 Dive on in.
that starship troopers bit really got me lol
Is it just me, or do the machine sprites at the base look like they're ripped from Starbound/Frackin' Universe?
👌
The name itself had me interested. The base mechanic of digging the material to sell/smelt and get upgrades from, to go dig more is a good working loop. the different behaviour of guns i a nice surprise and I'm curious for more, gotta try it out now.
this looks awfuly similar to risk of rain 1
Thanks for another great review, Splatty. I really like the diversity in games you review. I know I'd never know about most of these games if it weren't for your channel.
Looks super cool.
the mining and collecting and fuel system remind me of Motherload, the mars mining game
Thank you SplatterCat for playing the Blastronaut demo. Your video is really good!
@ 21:21 "… As seen in the important documentary, 'Starship Troopers' …"
Oh man, that made me laugh out loud! 🤣 You do have the driest sense of humour, Mr SplatterCat. It'd be great to have a beer or two with you, I reckon ! 🍻
And this looks to be a super little game. Thanks, mate ! 🙏🤗
M 🦘🏏😎
This game reminds me of Cortex Command somehow
10/10 commentary on this one lol
Do want… very much.
6:27 Did he not want to wait for the ore to be processed? If I am following the numbers, he could have earned twice as much if he had turned the ore into ingots.
