-Icy World
*On a close ring to the gas giant
*Largely barren with a thin atmosphere
*Kilometres high, partially volcanic mountain
*Union research outpost, also provides security for elevator to nearby orbital city
*UIB units covertly stationed here to study Orbital City and the elevator

-Orbital City
*On a close ring to the gas giant

*Secret library with data on the Orbital City station and its function, with a key located on the Icy World
*The Alley, A ring around the station that is an extended open air market
*Sports Stadium in the lower gravity neighbourhoods whose main feature is Maximumball, a Low-G mech sport
*Orbital Elevator tethered to volcano on Icy World to transfer heat and materials
*Elevator can also be used to process raw materials from Icy World to automatically add them to the construction of station using nanotechnology that was already present
*Construction yard in lower gravity area
*Ramen shop in The Alley, notable restaurant that everyone in the city knows

-Inhabited Moon
*Located in one of the rings around the gas giant

  1. Yall this was such a good ep! deff made me want to dip into the book

    What's on the inhabited moon:

It's close to the station, and has massive glaciers of ice that protrude from the ground. The people of the orbital city take shuttles there to harvest fresh drinking water.

catch- there's an old SecComm war machine buried in the ice that some gang has taken control of but they don't really know how to use. well something goes bad and the war machine has an accidental fire and blows up half the orbital city- que Lancers to come help save everyone and also stop the orbital weapon from firing again- this time conveniently taking out the rest of the orbital city.

  2. So here is my hot take:
The planet is either tidally locked, or has an elliptical orbit. So either one side is hot and volcanic, while the other is frozen or the planet goes through hot/frozen seasons as the elliptical orbit brings it closer/farther from the sun!
The self-constructing station was built by Voladors (there is like nothing known about them, but it seems like something they would do!), and was taken over by Union. The Library is Volador too, and it’s all encrypted by a mad NHP who makes it impossible read anything in there!
Lol I was going to say zero-g football, but Mech Rocket League is was better!
I dunno how accurate this is, but a friend of mine (who’s BIG into the Lancer lore) said Ring Gate Stations are populated by human and NHP crews. All ring gates are basically adjacent, so you could live on cradle, but work on a gate in the Long Rim. They have a defensive grid of weapon satellites as a first line, then again because Omninet is real time, and blink travel is instantaneous, reinforcements from Union can be there in moments if they get attacked (which is why in Boundary Garden when the Aun took out a Ring gate, it was a huge deal, and the first time it ever happened!). Correct me if I’m wrong!
In my game: the players were from a world called Caledonia. It was a tidally locked moon of a gas giant named Hyperion (so day and night, you could see Hyperion in the sky). Caledonia has a moon called Dunkel (actually called a moon moon).

  3. It's too late for me to be coherent, but remind me if I forget to explain my idea of an orbital station I had while listening to you guys

Also don't enter me into the contest. I'm sure I'll get into Lancer eventually but I am too far behind on other games right now to even read through it. Give other people a better chance
