It's going to be hard to dethrone dark souls 3 and bloodborne because the level design on those games is impressive. The level design on Elden ring so far has not been impressive because the dungeons have been very small. I'm hoping all the big dungeons will be better
idk theyre talking about things being the best game of all time.. but have they ever heard of bean battles?
It will. This is THE fantasy game… there's nothing like it. You got the horned horse from Mononoke, double jumping, parrying, fuckin modular weapon skills, pot dudes?, dragons, a crap ton of fortresses, castles, caves, a fantastic combat system, magic, superb enemy design as well as music and everything that FS always gets right. Oh and there's mutiplayer coop and pvp.
Dan is brilliant. Hahaha
Yes
DS3 had the best boss battles that get your heart pumping! The other 2 DarkSouls had better level variety and non linear design. Elden ring will marry them all in another masterpiece!😈😱
The respect my time conversation happens around the 15:00 min mark. One of the main reason I never finished BloodBorne is because the game required you to run back through many enemies and traps in order to face the same boss again. Nah, I’m ok. I got chit to do.
Then Sekiro was announced and after watching gameplay of that and seeing all the save idols it had, it was definitely worth it. Went through that game a couple of time. Listen up developers, ANNOYING does not = Hard gameplay. It = annoying.
This horizon or dying light 2. Tough decision
I preferred bloodborne but wasn’t able to get far until sekiro
I've never been more hyped for any game ever
I haven’t finished a souls game, but I love Bloodborne and Sekiro. I hope I’ll be able to enjoy this one. I love open world adventures.
Was that "bloody finger" enemy a nod to Joe Abercrombies character "the bloody nine" from The First Law series?
Only game I've pre ordered since sekiro. This is the only company I'll trust with my money before the product is delivered to deliver a quality product.
Why is there a guy who couldn't get passed the first level in Bloodborne talking about Elden Ring? He says the reason he doesn't like Souls games isn't because of the difficulty but its due to having to run back to boss fights, but in Sekiro there's a checkpoint literally before every boss fight and he still couldn't beat that. He just needs to admit that he's an incompetent journalist who can't get good.
Do they talk about the dung guy here?
I really like that there will be less running back to the bosses. Especially for harder boss fights
Princess Mononoke the game was already made. It's called Breath of the Wild. How could you have not realized that?
I used to be like that guy, always heard about the difficulty and never gave it a shot but then I tried Bloodborne and now every Soulsbornekiro boss has been defeated, BB and Sekiro platinumed. Don’t be like that guy, these games are the best gaming has to offer
as of now the only way it won't be the best souls game is if the latter parts of the game somehow take a steep dive in quality, which is always a possibility.
The not chewing on rocks for fun comment is exactly how I’ve always felt about souls games. I always love the looks of the games but as soon as I hear “souls like” I tune it out. But this game has me so excited. For the same reason, the check point system and the idea that it’s open world, so if I get stuck I can just go another direction has sold me on it. I’m counting down the hours for this one!
Might play, hope i dont rage quit 🙂
I know your not supposed to get hyped. But I straight up don’t care. I trust Miyazaki. There might be bugs. There might be glitches. But the atmosphere is so good I’d pay 60$ just to walk around. Lol
it isn't, as long as Bloodborne exists, nothing will beat it.
I go back and forth if I like Bloodborne or DS1 better. Its so close but yes I think Elden Ring will be the best video game of all time.
that dragon fight looks really downgraded from what i saw in the first trailer :/
They’re just sucking off open world as a concept, when souls was good cuz it wasn’t open world and had good thoughtful level design
This game might actually exceed some people's expectations
Dunno why but I feel like Godrick is gonna be the final boss for a lot of casual/non "souls" players 😅
He said horses are nothing like an ox but oxen have horns and the small "horse" looked like an ox with horns.
