  4. The Holy Spirit was with the Apostles as they were endowed with special powers to perform miracles and wonders. The fellowship of God was so close, it was essentially a lie to the face of God. It's not like if someone lies to a Christian they fall down dead today so this was definitely a special circumstance as the Apostles were directly commissioned by God and the Spirit would audibly speak to them.

I think the true unity they had back then in Christ and the correct church structure (where they were all brothers and depended on the Holy Spirit to operate as the head) is what brought the swift act of God to punish sin. Now, in this day, we have put ourselves in place of the Holy Spirit with our church structures and flawed methods of dealing with conflict lack of unity so the Holy Spirit is quenched and does not operate like in the early church. Matthew 23:8-12 “But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted."

    See, we have all these different titles and hierarchy that Jesus told us NOT to have. What is wrong with us?? Of course followers of Christ should operate in the gifts such as teaching, pastoring, evangelism, prophesy, healing, knowledge, wisdom, etc., but not the hierarchy and titles we have today! The hierarchy and titles quench the Holy Spirit! Why should the Holy Spirit force into our hierarchy and titles? No, the Holy Spirit will not do it. But who here would like to work together in a body where there is no hierarchy but we are all brothers and sisters and we are dependent on the Holy Spirit? Lets do it! Lets work together.   11. There was an inner circle who's faith had brought then into a position as "Sons of God." These were those who are warned in Hebrews "Beware lest ye fall." I believe it was these who pooled their wealth and depended on the goodness of one another to go forward in their ministry–much like the 12 who shared one purse. We see what happened to Judas in that situation. Grace upon grace. There are multiple portions of grace, not only justification and sanctification. If you read carefully, you see abilities associated with putting on more of Christ.

  13. Dr. Pat, Sir, GOD hasn't changed. It was not just for the early Church only.

    Ananias & Sapphira couldn't stand that kind of manifestation of the HOLY SPIRIT. GOD never told them that they would die because they lied. They simply just couldn't stand that kind of manifestation of the Presence of GOD.

    Through Ananias & Sapphira incident, great honor & reverence for the LORD came upon all the Church & upon all who heard it. Such manifestations of the HOLY SPIRIT happened in the ministry of people like William Branham & Paul Cain.
    We will experience this kind of Power which will bring back great reverence & awe of GOD in the Church & to the world through the Church before the return of our LORD & SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST from Heaven . The Glory of the latter house will be greater than the glory of the former house.

  21. Jesus Christ called the Holy Spirit "Spirit of Truth" (John 14:17; 15:26; John 16:13) and warned us, "All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men; but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven unto men" (Matthew 12:31).

  22. At 5he dirstnsign of the risem0f Agrippa, Simon Magus was deposed as Pope. The story of his fall is recorded in the story of Ananias and Sapphira who were rebuked by Peter for financial wrongdoing and 'fell down & died' (were excommunicated, the usual fate of a fallen Pope & his associate.) Spiritual death, not physical.
