Buy a scope that won't shift zero from a simple drop. Nightforce (expensive) and SWFA (utterly dirt cheap but incredibly robust) are rock solid, unlike so many other scopes, even $4000 scopes, that will change POI or not return to zero or not track. It's insane how terrible most moderns scopes are at doing the one thing they are meant to do, aim where the bullet should impact under hiking/hunting conditions.

On top of re-setting the zero on the rifle, before that- check the torque on all if your screws. Different ammo than what you zeroed the rifle?

Well now perhaps a few weeks at the range will help or you could try using a Bow. Luckily the bear didn’t decide to eat you.

Got new copper monolithic rounds hand loaded and tested. Velocities are good, just need to verify the math on target today and I’m set.
A clean miss is way better than a bad hit. Maybe didn't take a Horizontal range into account.

Okay I’m missed the past 4 predators I’ve called in cause I had a dinky scope. Got another one on their dialed in now I can’t call anything in 😂🤦🏽♂️
