WHO IS HE???

I don’t think this is something that many people talk a lot about. I was posed with this question about 2 years ago when I was going to Medical missionary School. I had a pretty bold walk with the Lord already and I really believe that I knew my Lord and Savior. until the day A friend of mine asked me, do you know the character of God? can you describe the character of God?

well I know it always sounds easy we can say he’s loved he’s merciful he’s Justice. but when she pressed me I realize that I really didn’t have a full complete answer

that’s when I started my study on who God really is and I didn’t really realize the importance of the character God and how much Satan has been trying to destroy it. I didn’t even know it started in heaven with the war and then it went down to Adam and Eve in the garden with Satan.

Satan’s plan is to destroy the character of God he wants to show him as a liar as an unjust tyrant. and he is doing a great job especially using religion. this is so important why we need to study and know our Bible line upon line preset upon precip so we can know our Lord and savior. anyway I just thought a discussion was warranted and perhaps even more so later

were presented with a true choice between right and wrong.

Regarding the tree, someone wasn’t telling the truth. Either God was lying, and eating from the tree really was ok (even beneficial!), or the Serpent was lying and trying to get them to go against their Creator.

Satan often mixes truth with a lie. It makes the lie more believable.

The words of Satan, “Your eyes shall be opened,” proved to be true in this sense only: After Adam and Eve had disobeyed God, their eyes were opened to discern their folly; they did know evil, and they tasted the bitter fruit of transgression.12

  1. Hey Stacy, I haven’t done a study per se on the character of God but I enjoy coming up with adjectives that I believe describe His Character because I like contemplating His characteristics or attributes!
I pray intercessory prayer each day for many people, most of whom I have never met & may never meet before we enter the Kingdom of God! And when I pray, I pray the same prayer requests for each of us & one of the things that I like to pray for is that God’s Holy Spirit to place in our hearts the characteristics of God & then I name many of them, benevolence, compassion, devotion, dedication, empathy, faithfulness, forgiveness, generosity, gratitude, goodness, grace, humility, honesty, integrity, joy, kindness, loving, loyalty, merciful, obedient, peaceful, pure, patient, respectful, reverence, righteous, selfless, thoughtful, tenderhearted, upright, virtuous, wholesome.
I ask that He please program these wonderful characteristics into each of our hearts and minds.
