  1. I use # 10s on my main line and # 6s in yards and industrials I use code 70 track for main and controlled sidings I use code 55 for individual track and yard tracks. This is on my HO layout

  2. I model British Railways 00 scale here in Toronto. I try to scratch build what I can and built a bridge made from matte board, laying out and cutting the span girders, braces and struts. When finished I painted and weathered it and it looks great

  3. It depends on the kit and type of structures. I like the laser cut wood structures because now they are almost like putting a puzzle together, the way the parts fit. I also like the way they weather. Some types of structures are available only in plastic, but I tend to detail them with acrylic paints and so that they blend in better with wood or hydrocal structures.

  5. I'm a sucker for Walther's cornerstone series of structures, they have a lot of great kits that I used on previous layouts and they're coming out with some great "new" industries this year. Also on my list is ITALA buildings that I want to try out as well as monster model works to name a few, I also like to kitbash and scratch build too, I started kitbashing with city classic's warehouse parts and pikestuff kits..

  6. For structure, I switched from plastic kits to scratch build when I was doing HO, laser kit were quite expansive at the time. But now for 016.5, I only have a few structures, all scratch build. Most are in styrene.

  7. Hello Ken and crew, I enjoy your show each week, I have a request, sometimes on various shows you or one of your guests mention different manufactures or items i wonder you could spell out their company's name or provide it as a link? This would help as well as get their name out there for more product exposure.
