DIY Kitchen Backsplash (Renter Friendly!) | diy faux stone backsplash

Hi friends! This DIY faux stone backsplash is EVERYTHING. Easily one of the best DIYs Iโ€™ve ever done. Wow. I am actually in disbelief at how good this diy kitchen backsplash turned out. It is even better than I could have imagined. This diy backsplash wonโ€™t damage drywall and is honestly just amazing. I am officially one step closer to fully transforming my diy dream rental apartment! My diy over-grouted stone backsplash is a vibe!! I hope you enjoy watching this process and I hope it inspires! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’ž

  1. I love watching your videos! I too live in a rental and to make improvements can be so limited, your videos really help to create different ideas, so thank you for that. Now, I am wondering if you would have any type of ideas on how to improve old fashioned white tile countertops? I think it's really ugly and I would love to make them look better, I was thinking the Peel and Stick but afraid the shapes of the tiles would come through – any ideas would be appreciated! ๐Ÿฅฐ

  2. I loved every minute of your videos of your countertops and your backslash!
Although I do have a question about the contact paper for your countertops!
How long do they last, like does the contact paper get wet and if it does, does it make the backing come up from the countertops or not?? Thanks! ๐Ÿ˜Š

  3. OMG I just love love your ideas! I wish you could come to my house and help me with EVERYTHING! lol we are remolding our 100+ year old house and boy o boy, it's been an amazing adventure! I am also a person who has had ADD for my entire life. As well as being dyslexic. I would love to find out what product that is you, what you used for the rock panels and where you got it. I also am going to try doing the marbling cabinet countertop that you have done in the past to our kitchen island countertop. You're amazing!

  6. That looks so amazing! I love it so much! I want to do it on my back splash. But I can't figure out how you got the perfect fit for those top little pieces that you had to fit in? Will this backsplash be washable?

  7. Considering I'm the descendant of Irish stone masons, I Love stone!!!! You can't beat the look of classic natural stone, it'll win everyone over!! With that said, I'll likely skip this project but I'd like to possibly attempt your paneling video where you upgrade the kitchen bar wall. This involves buying from Amazon which I don't care to do, and seems to require more of a process, harsh chemicals, lots of prep work, it is worth the stunning beauty but I need something just as face lifting without requiring so much detailed work just on the items themselves, before they ever even see the wall. So I have other idea's for my backsplashes which I have multiple walls and thinking to mix it up between tiling & wall paper, but quality and not that junky peely nonsense. I give you accolades for originality & stunning taste, as well the ability to envision so artistically. You are immensely talented & have an eye for beauty & enhancement. โค๏ธ๐ŸŒนโค๏ธ P.S. I'd LOVE to learn what music you used, specifically the tune as you applied parchment paper towards the end before revealing the end results?? I enjoy the music you put in here ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ’—

  9. Dalia! Question ๐Ÿ˜ I love your work so I wanted to ask if you have any tips on putting/applying anything on a brick wall? We are renting and I donโ€™t like how the brick looks ๐Ÿ‘€(outdoors)

  10. It look awesome. I wish you would have use grout instead of drywall compound. The drywall compound will yellow badly in a few months. Where as the grout would have stayed white. Maybe if you put a matt finish on it, it will not yellow that I am unsure. The matt varnish also makes it washable. Great job! thanks for sharing.

  11. Hi Dalia, I've been wanting to do something like that in my apartment, but didn't like the way the 3D panels looked. I also been in love with that stone wall style. Your idea to make it look so real is awesome! You're an inspiration, God bless. You're amazing!!! You're gifted.

  12. I found a picture on Instagram of a kitchen with what I believe is real stone walls in the kitchen and become obsessed to add that kind of warmth to my kitchen – but don't have the real stone budget. I searched and came across your youtube channel and this video and LOVE how you took the PVC panels and added the compound to make it look authentic and the added, "renter" friendly aspect. I don't rent, but I like that I could change it out by using the 3M method (3M? I think) Awesome, thanks for the tutorial!

  14. You rock! And your rock backsplash came out amazingly! You have inspired me. But I guess I can't put that above a stove on the wall? I wonder. I wish I could redo my kitchen so I need to get creative, because I don't have the budget for that. New subscriber.
