Midwest 90: Rapid City is a monster apocalypse restaurant simulator, which also has a story and some tower defence bits and bobs thrown in for good measure!
With the USA facing some difficult times, the people of the Midwest are left alone to deal with an outbreak of terrifying monsters, but being the resourceful folks they are, they decide to eat the monsters they kill! That’s right, our restaurant serves monster meat!
We get to choose what goes on the menu but initially we can only make some simple burgers. As time goes by we learn new recipes, either by speaking to people or by researching new types of monster meat.
We visit the town to stock up on supplies and chat to people, plus there’s a chap selling some potentially shady ‘monster juice’ which peps up our food!
Also we have to invest in some defences because monsters come along and try to attack us, so we buy some shooty guns and exploding things to stop them before the reach us and eat the clientele. Plus the bonus is that we can eat the monsters we kill!
NOTE: This is the playtest version of the game.

I lika meat! What's up penge?
Is it all management with no monster killing side-game at all? Seems like a missed opportunity if so
Ooooh, Monster Face. I love a piping hot plate of crispy Monster Face.
Finally, a sequel to Battle Chef Brigade
Great 👍 👌
Making 100 bucks in profit from food ..paying staff around 140 bucks ..hmmm 🙂 how will this end
40 seconds in, and I'm sold on the premise
I can hear in your voice that you're enjoying this game, which is really good for you. This is a good game to watch too. Thanks for playing it. ♥
12:57 That's literally the 'space bar' symbol shown at the bottom and it says 'pause' in that sentence. What makes you think the devs are lying to you? Lol.
Well, it’s like I always say; If dragons were real, we would eat their eggs.
Dungeon Meshi, murica edition
Kind of interesting watching foreigners try and make sense of American iconica/geography.
Pretty sure 'missourite' is referring to the midwest US state where the game says the monster infestation and monster eating started, so you'd be looking for something closer to 'mi-zur-ite'.
Midwest 90 is named after the Interstate that goes through Rapid City, South Dakota. The game is set nowhere near the old route 66. It goes from Chicago, IL to Santa Monica, CA has been largely replaced by the modern interstate highway system, and has often been used as a cultural icon. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Route_66
Also, that green bird is a turkey.. it's got a whattle (the dangly bit under the chin) and everything.
Good vid.
Ooooh that's very exciting lol never change penge
This actually looks really good! I love the aesthetic, I like all the extra bits and bobs like the tower defense mode and the story and conversations with the characters, and I like the fact that the Zoids are one-eyed, one-horned, flying purple people eaters. XD
Might have to take a look at this one myself.
The one thing I don't particularly like is having to manually open the doors each day. Maybe there's some reason for it later, but leaving your staff waiting outside seems needlessly fiddly.
The second you got the chance to hire people, you never again turned a profit.
You made a net profit of -$154 on the second to last day.
Thank you for trying out our playtest demo! You made our day 🙂
I'll take a face and flank combo platter please.
Oh Penge, this game was made for you!
