You missed No Man's Sky and Planet Crafter…which just had another update. Also… SmalLand
HMU if you need another buddy for multiplayer.
If you play Subnautica, Below Zero is easier with a good story line. The original was harder, more grindy but I still love it. I have hundreds of hours in both.
I think I'd be good at Rust… But I don't wanna lose 95,000 hours of my life hahaha I'd give it a go with ya though. I thought 7 days to die would be first TBH.
Haven't played No One Survived, The Forest (but I have it in my library), haven't played Icarus – only just got a computer that could play it, I have seen Sons Of The Forest and it looks MUCH better than the Forest, I'm really surprised Raft comes in so high – it looks like a lot of fun in Multiplayer for sure, Conan has a lot to offer but it's not for me either, SCUM is so hard to start that it turned me off a bit, 7DTD is a zombie game and it's non stop zombie carnage and I think it appeals to a younger audience more often than not – it's a lot of gore, ARK never appealed to me – it's like a zoo sim on crack LOL , Never played RUST not too sure it's a survival game. I have to say that the number one game on my list is Subsistence – we do a lot of Subsistence I have just over 1700 hours, Armoured Annie and I have a coop of Sunkenland and most of my friends have it on their channel. Played all the others – many of them on my channel. Stranded Deep ran my patience out LOL Green Hell is also on my channel – it's very hard but it's satisfying I think. The Long Dark is new to me, I have around 50 hours and the key to that one is taking your time to learn the maps. The story mode is very hard without knowing the maps. You did a great job on this KevLar Really enjoyed the video.
Awesome video! Ill leave some comments as I watch.
– Ill be checking out Grand Emprise at some point, but yeah it isn't my first pick for the next game ill play lol.
– Survival Fountain of Youth is a lot of fun and really fleshed out. I'm surprised it doesn't have more attention than it does. I have a number of videos i did but it didn't really get the clicks so I switched to another game but I still play it on my spare time here and there. Very good mechanics and crafting system, the story and lore are pretty well done. They are adding more content to the release as time goes on and just had a recent update that opened up a whole new region. It can be also very unforgiving at the higher diffs and if you're not careful and and stack up a half dozen ailments. Worth checking out if survival rpg-lite is your thing.
– No One survived is pretty cool for a concept, but there are a number of things like what you mentioned that turned me off as well. Last i played, it has not changed. Even getting XP you need to be active in the workbench to get it. The other thing i didnt like is your stats completely reset if you die, so all those levels you stood in the workbench for to gain, just went out the window. The other thing is the natural resources are mostly separated across the map and it takes wayyy too long to trek it on foot.
– Stranded Deep is amazing if you accept it at face value. I like to call it the best ocean survival proof of concept I've ever played. hahaha 😉
– The Long Dark is brutal! They are actively making more content but it is slowing down, I think there working on a new title. It really is a survival game made by people who wanted to make a realistic survival game. Its also a very slow paced game so going from something like stranded deep to this will feel like your wearing a lead jacket. Good game tho.
– Green Hell is also pretty brutal in my experience. Would like to get some more under my belt at some point. VR support too.
– Love The Forest. Extremely terrifying. With all its jank, i thoroughly enjoyed it!
– Icarus, I could deal with the cons of that game if i could just bring my inventory back and forth from the open world mission to the mission missions and vice versa. Its way too much of a time sink for me. They do release updates weekly but its usually 1 or 2 new items and a lot fo time its cosmetic deco.
– Sons, i haven't done a proper playthrough in months. Waiting for the "full release" and trying to avoid spoilers. Doing update videos that's not always the easiest ahaha. Its quite good tho.
– Sunkenland has a great concept and i bet it will go far! Excited about that for sure.
– Conan is more so like Enshrouded is going to be, Its an action RPG with basic survival mechanics. It definitely shines in other areas more than survival.
– 7 Days to Die – Minecraft for Grownups xD
You should check out The Infected i think you'd really enjoy it. Mist Survival is another one i checked out. Valheim, im sure you've heard of haha. Under A New Sun definitely has a ton of Stranded Deep inspiration. Bum Simulator is good for a laugh if you like a easy going game with crude humor ahaha.
Great video! Sorry for the wall of text! 😅
