Thanks for having a balanced perspective on the racism blame game and being vocal about it! So many white people willing to put on the mantle of Shame simply because they're white and not because they're actually racist. A lady in a store who was screaming at the clerk because he wouldn't help her first loudly called him a racist. I think she was a light black. I was standing there and couldn't stop from saying something. 20 other people kept silent! I pointed out to her that the hispanic people he helped before her had darker skin than her, so her accusation made no sense. I happen to be almost a bluish albino white, so she jumped all over that. I told her l can't help the color I am (side note: as a kid I wished so bad to have a beautiful brown pigment) and she was the racist by definition. I'm not a racist simply because I'm white! Her darker skin doesn't automatically make her not a racist. Her actions made her a racist. All these people around us of every color (los angeles) said nothing. The poor little abuelita with her two young grandchildren must have been frightened by all the screaming this lady was doing and to be the center of the conversation. So wrong.
