  1. I think you guys at film threat should eventually watch it all. The whole Prism trilogy is my Sequel trilogy head canon. It’s beautiful and healed my grief around how terrible the Disney trilogy was.

  2. I've watched the Episode VII redo so far. The plot is so much better (better story, better use of the characters, better timeline, etc.) that the plot of The Force Awakens vanishes in comparison. The author seems to be a bit too precious with the characters, however, but that's easily fixed. I was a little disappointed that Rey and Kylo basically swapped places. I liked Rey's wholesome attitude in the beginning (though the series certainly drained it out of her by the end.)

  3. It’s not surprising to me that Star Wars fans can write better Star Wars stories than Disney can. There is no one at Disney that understands what Star Wars is or what it represents.

  4. This is so much better than what we got it makes me angry. Imagine using this as a foundation and polishing it. Just a reminder of the potential that was maliciously wasted by KK and Disney.

  5. This story if turned into the first sequel movie has alot of meat on it. It lays the foundations for future movies, spin off movies, live action shows and it's spin off shows, maybe animated shows like the Clone Wars series, video games, novels, and so on where as with the Star Wars sequel we got from Ryan Johnson and Jay Jay and Disney just leads to a dead end. Besides Chewie, R2 and C3P0 all the legacy characters are dead. Besides Ray and maybe Ahoka all the Jedi and Sith are dead, the New Republic and the First Order dead, any Imperial remnant factions are ether dead or non-existent, Snoke dead, Palpatine dead, Ray's story has hit a dead end. Fin and Po's stories a dead end, Kylo Rin dead, the Knights of Rin dead, so what else is there ? How can Disney possibly go forward in the Star Wars universe ? The answer is they cant cause Star Wars is DEAD

Also he picture of Leia holding a gun which is connected to a hand which is holding a gun was a epic picture lmao

  6. VII should have been focused on the legacy characters and slowly introduce the new ones… VIII should have been the passing of the torch… and IX should have been about the younger generation becoming heroes themselves.

  7. Man, I have so many thoughts about this, for one thing, it really shows how important getting the first movie right is. Because then everything after is built on that strong foundation. This is what we were all hoping for when we first heard the news about Star Wars sequels. We wanted to see all the heroes together, while also ushering in the new generation of characters, which is what this does well.
You can see the characterizations are still present as well for the sequel characters like Rey being afraid of abandonment, Finn being the innocent every man who turns. It all works. I even like the idea of Phasma being a rogue agent. That would have made her much cooler.

  8. Can someone clever please hack into whatever, get the George Lucas "original treatments" for Ep 7, 8 and 9 and leak them onto the internet?

I'm sure many people would love to read what George had in mind.

  9. Alan doesn't want to watch the whole thing. He'd be happy with a synopsis, frankly.

But Chris…oh, my! U can see the nerd in him pop out at times – all excited about the new X-Wing design, which I'm sure was a rendering accident, cos GenAI art does tend to do that sometimes (like giving horses 5 legs!!) 😄

A joy to watch Chris nerd out 👏
