  2. If you have a modern cruiser like a Leander surely you want to kite enemy destroyers and bombard them from beyond their effective range? I think you got in too close and exposed your destroyers to accurate return fire.

  3. @Wolfpack….you were quite wasteful of both your Air & Sea assets in the 1st engagement against 5 x Enemy Destroyers.
With the Hudsons…I suggest don't send them on a course through the Enemy fleet to target the far Destroyer as they are then having to run the gauntlet of AA fire before they can drop ordnance. Better to target the enemy ships on the fringe so it minimises their exposure to AA fire on the run in to target, thus you'll get more bombs on target.

  4. Great video!!!

To finish off ships that are dead in the water, try using the manual fire option with narrow spreads. Great effect on target that way.

The AI friendly-fire moment … lol

  5. low level bombing seems to be less than useless for you. Sad loss in the Vendetta and Encounter. This makes me want to start up Silent Hunter 4 again and play the Asiatic at the start of the war.

  6. My great grandpa was navy in WW2, told me a "fun" trick he learned, when the ship is listing so badly the guns are almost in the water, they would fire 1 barrel from each battery to rock the ship back, then give a full Salvo on the upswing.

  7. Just curious, how is damage damage calculated in War On the Sea.
If it is based on the number of blacked out compartments, wouldn’t it be more efficient to fire AP since AP does damage immediately whereas fires from HE shells time to do damage. Or maybe I’m just being dumb

  8. That was a great battle … You had to sink them all .. our losses while devastating were worth that convoy because of the troops and supplies they carried … Much must be risked in war.

  9. You are generally better organized, but hey, everything happens. I think you should be more aggressive with the torpedoes and start concentrating fire on individual targets, just like the AI does. Maybe you should get another submarine.

  10. How about going on a hunt to random sections of the map in search for juicy targets with a few subs to really give the enemy something to cry about?

  11. Why didn't you have encounter launch torpedoes with them bunched up as they were…if you would force them to disperse or separate that would take a load of fire off of some of the ships.

  12. Well.. ABDA lost 2 Heavy Cruisers, 3 Light Cruisers, 18 Destroyers and 7 Submarines and the Japanese lost the Destroyer Sagiri to the Dutch submarine K14 and the Submarine I-124 to USN destroyer Edsall plus 3 Australian minesweepers so this campaign distorts the truth enormously.
