  1. Splat actually made it to the end of the demo and a bit further. In the end screen it says end game triggers at threatlevel 20 and he died at threatlevel 21

  2. Thanks so much for playing our game! Appreciate your thoughts, and definitely going to polish a thing or two (super bummed about the minigun glitching out on you). Glad that you liked it!

  3. Yeah, sorry Splatty but Bullet Heaven is not a good description for these games. For a long time I just called them Vampire Survivor-likes, then Survivor-Likes, but I think maybe the best name would be Rogue Survivor-Like but Bullet Heaven is def not the way to go.

  4. Hey, I was wondering if you could sort videos into playlists by genre? I really like these kinds of games and want to find more but don't know which ones are what and with so many different types of games that you cover, it makes it difficult to find specific types of games.

  5. TWO MINUTES of "intro" on a twenty-one minute video? And then it's THREE minutes before the game play starts?
Wow! Did you have an extra coffee today, Mr Splatt? ☕☕

  6. Looks pretty cool! The problem with these games often is that your strength is defined by how well you can stand your ground while remaining mostly static and the builds gravitate towards that playstyle too, but here you have to be pretty agile and do a lot of dodging and maneuvering which is great! The upgrades seem somewhat limited though, and the laser isn't nearly as strong as you would hope by Splat's excitement lol (just look at the dmg stats at the end). Unfortunately the visuals are pretty basic and it feels kinda empty, both the background and the weapon effects.

  7. I've been onboard with "bullet-heaven" as the genre for a while, been using it as a category in my Steam library to put these into. It's a bit more unique than the other options, and it gets across the idea of being the thing spewing bullets instead of dodging all the bullets being spewed at you pretty well. Some don't let you spew quite as many bullets as others, but as long as the inverted bullet-hell feel is there I think it works.

  8. Nukes in space are a point-blank weapon; they release a huge amount of IR radiation, which in an atmosphere superheats the surrounding air, causing a massive pressure wave. In space, that radiation doesn't hit any air, so it has to be pretty close to your intended target to hit them with much energy; however they will completely shred anything you do hit.

  9. Nuclear explosions in space are not slowed down by an atmosphere. They'd hit with all their energy at once. (and would ring the moon like a bell, if one nuked that).

They are infinitely more devastating in space.

  10. Hey, no idea if you read the comments on the massive amount of videos you upload but, as someone who has seen as many videos as I have and kinda peered at the personality behind the screen with the anecdotes here and there. Really appreciate all the content but, I feel like that the pace is a stressor. Health and peace of mind are important too. You are allowed a break sometimes. Even if all these game devs are hitting you up.

  11. Keep on trucking through these indies, I have turned some friends on to your channel as a resource since your so prolific. I try to watch most, since your vids help me find out what’s good and what’s meh better than most gameplay and review videos.

  12. VAMPIRE SURVIVOR (TYPE GAMES):
So the big love for these type games, where the rules aren’t based in reality – is SOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo refreshing!! Realism Visuals, Physics and rules based on reality, basically most games made very rules in place. 3D fps, deal easy gamer fatigue…games made in the realm of Computer Code instead of Reality – is the core Boost of fun it is.
Like this games universe is very cartoon and fun

  13. You need a catch phrase to close out…like “see yah, maggots”
    Or
“Go learn how to (insert some new hobby/RL skill, end of each video)”
    Or
“I’ll see you gamers, next game through”
    Or
    “Now beat it!”

  14. Splat dropping another gem! Thank you so much for introducing so many great games I would likely never know about. Your recommendations on this game I agree with and are great ideas. It could def use some background animations to seem more immersive along with a cooldown meter for weapons. Great analysis!
