  1. …….STILL………..DUE TO HELLISH CONDITIONS,VENUS IS LIKE HARDCORE NIGHTMARE CHALLENGE MODE WHEN MARS IS ABOUT MEDIUM DIFFICULTY….AND MOON IS EASY…..SO THESE MISSIONS WERE COOL AF,THOUGH

….SO,IT'D BE NICE TO SEE SOME VENUS ROVERS LIKE CURIOSITY……SOMEDAY…..

  2. If the probe achieved anything during it's brief life, it's that we need to cut our own Co2 down or our planet lest it turns into another Venus. It should also quell any ambitions of ever colonizing the planet.

  3. I honestly didn’t realize that even as late as the 1960s, we didn’t know Venus was a hot, dead planet. I thought by then we knew the atmosphere was mostly carbon dioxide and literally thick enough to cut with a knife. And that the surface was like being inside a pizza oven. I guess we didn’t have the capability to accurately determine any of this from earth at the time.

  4. If anything the Venera landers should be seen as a huge feat of engineering for their time. To see they lasted as long as they did on the surface of Venus says a lot about how well built they were. It would be cool to see a return to Venus to perhaps recover a surface sample, but that's a pretty big ask in the grand scheme of things. Still it'd be interesting to see what kind of brimstone is on the hellish surface of our nearest neighbor.

  5. Its interesting that Mars is the exact opposite of Venus and Earth in the middle is the perfect position in relation to the Sun. All relatable by distance from the Sun.

  6. Venus still remains the most viable planet for us to colonize, far easier than Mars. We would live in an environment where we would not need to wear a spacesuit just an atmospheric suit, there is plenty of oxygen, h2o, the temperature would be what we experience here on Earth, maybe even more temperate, atmospheric pressure would be good and gravity virtually the same.

  7. Nothing went wrong. They knew the probe would be destroyed by atmospheric pressure and the corrosive environment. Stop being intellectually dishonest.

  8. What about the one that went of course and landed in the LA river where it threatened to sample Los Angeles to death? Only big foot challenged the six million dollar man more
