The film begins in the ninth century with a band of foolhardy Vikings attempting to prove their bravery. Only Osa, the King’s daughter, believes that her father’s avarice will lead to their demise and urges him to stop while there is still time. As he and his army wait near a lake, a serpent emerges from the water and assaults.
